This game has the potential to be season defining - dependent on the previous 2 results this game could just be the one that makes or breaks our season now. Having lost the game at the Kassam 3-2 earlier in the season we absolutely owe the U's a defeat for sure, but with them looking a bit like an ex-City who's who you never know quite what to expect. The pressure will be on us to perform, can the team and the gaffer handle it? Our last win at home to Oxford was way back in 1983 so victory on our own turf is well overdue. For those that make it to the game i hope for all our sakes it's an enjoyable one.... Support the boys and make some noise!!!!
To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing just a little bit of panic. It might introduce some energy and urgency. So, perhaps some controlled panic might be good.
Did you see how many points we have before typing that? It's the answer to life, the universe and everything. Though 42 won't see us avoid relegation. As an aside, I watched an interesting documentary about Douglas Adams the other evening. Interesting character with thoughts way ahead of his time.
Let's hope he's not ready to throw in (or rather lose) his towel too quickly... He could always threaten the players with the punishment of listening to hours of Vogon poetry during the next training session if they lose to the U's!!
Masky can remember city beating Oxford 5-0 at Ninian Park, back in ‘73, Billy would’ve been around 35 then….no offence intended pal!
Good morning and happy match day my fellow positive and determined Bluebirds. So here we are at the beginning of a new era. The era of Aaron The Magnificent aka Rambo the Rugged. This means there's an extra reason to get Behind the boys today . Let's inspire their efforts to keep us up AND to give one of our own, the best possible start to life on that side of the white line. RRRRRRRAMBO! BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBIRDS.
Ah, John Parsons, Harry’s Son, forgot about him. I was playing for Bristol Rovers nursery side, and he was in Cardiff youth scoring a hatful of goals every game. He was prolific at that level but didn’t get far in transition to the big time!
Just remembered it was against Charlton not Oxford that Parsons butted one in. A year or so earlier. Score 5.0 or maybe 5.1.
