Has anyone had problems upgrading a confessionary ticket to a full price one? My mates daughter has a season ticket but can’t go tomorrow so I’m getting it. It’s £18 to upgrade but it won’t let him do it. He gets this message:

Unfortunately, you are trying to upgrade tickets to an age restricted price class.

Please ensure the Date of Birth is set for the recipient or select another price class.

    any ideas how to resolve?

    cheers lads

Have you considered going to a local church and getting a priest to help you :emoticon-0105-wink:

Apparently it’s all to do with your DOB. So I logged into my account and to edit my account details and you can edit everything in your account…….except you DOB. In fact it’s doesn’t even have anything recorded as my DOB and you can’t even add one never mind change it! I give up :(

    Top bloke

I'm picking the oap season card, yes it's a physical card, and will approach the ticket office just after 10

If you hear loud sobbing from the sol from that time... I'll probably be in touch

It seems a bit odd that this process is as complicated as it appears if the club are having issues with adults buying kids tickets. Here we have a fan wanting to do the right thing and upgrade the ticket properly but is unable to do so due to the tech/system.

Hopefully this process of upgrading a ticket becomes a one or two click process to increase club revenue and the adult twats who buy (and use) kids tickets get their balls blown off.

Personally I'd just scan the kids ticket and walk in. If the steward inside the ground attempts to stop you explain the situation. I'd say at least 95% of them don't really give a **** and won't even attempt to stop you.

I'd have agreed until the new ticket office manager came in recently.

Just upgraded my grandson’s ticket today, you need to choose upgrade option not the forwarding one, then click either adult or oap, then pick the person from your network and add, will show purchase at £0.00, the person your forwarding the ticket to will get an email requesting the £18.00 fee, took me a few attempts

Thanks mate. My son in law bought me a ticket online last night to save me going down to the ticket office this morning. I will still have to go through at some point and get this resolved as it’s a right pain.
