I've no fear of any of our possible playoff opponents as I don't believe in bogey teams, jinxes or whatever ... ... I think we're capable of beating them all. My only issue is that I wouldn't want to share London, the Tubes, Trafalgar Square, Wembley Way, etc, with Boro, Coventry or Millwall. The bellend percentage is higher than the likes of West Brom, Bristol City or even Sheff Utd in my opinion. A Sunderland v Bristol final would suit me, I'd rather lose to them, if we had to, than Boro or Coventry.
I'd prefer Bristol or sheff utd in the final if I had a choice, not that I fear any of the other teams, but their supporters would ruin the day
Yeh you could be right about 5th, but 2 comfortable games then Coventry last game. Could just make 6th.
The more I think about it, I want Coventry to finish 6th. That would give us the chance to knock out both Bristol and Coventry. And we older fans know the relevance of that.
Someone might as well start this off.... In an Ideal world, assuming we have a fit squad, who would your starting 11 be for the play offs
Mundle Mayenda Roberts Jobe Neil ELF Cirkin O'Nien Mepham Hume Patterson Isidor, Aleksic, Rigg, Browne, Samed, Hjelde, Ballard, Seelt, Moore Think that's our best 11. Solid subs bench also. See no point in Watson featuring unless there's a serious change in how he's carrying himself. Would have Alese on the bench if he's fit but don't want to rush him back again.
I agree mate. Still want to see Aleksic in that central role at some point, with ELF on the left (while Mundle is unfit)
Here we go then, 2 league games to play our best 11 then all eyes on the semi final. No injuries or suspensions please in the next 2 games would be ideal. Can we bring Cirkin straight back in? He probably needs game time to get up to speed? Wouldn't be adverse to see Browne at right back and Hume left back if Cirkin isn't quite ready.
