Not my idea, it's on the BBC...

TBH him and Barnes are playing better than most English wingers currently so should be afforded a shot imho. Tino has to have worked his way into the discussion for that tricky LB slot as well...

Talking of England - was lovely to see 9 English players on the pitch for us last night for the last 20mins or so, 8 when Krafth came on and 10 over all.

I can't see it. He's in great form for us right now, but he's not the kind of player you'd expect to see in an England shirt.

Fair - Think if you are picking players on form he get's in but Tuchel has like 16 training sessions before the world cup so may want to pick a consistent squad so maybe not but then what about Harvey? He's banging in goals now he's got a bit of a run of games, could he be in with a shout?

If Barnes were selected based on form then it would probably be at the expense of Gordon. I can't see both getting in. So then it depends on whether Tuchel is focusing more on form, or on who he thinks are the right players longer term.

The issue for Tuchel is Murphy's got more goals and assists this season than in the previous 3 or 4, but at 30 is it worth it? With Barnes, up to and including the Leicester match, he's been mostly below average for us.

Gordon on the other hand has player 100 matches already with 40 goal contributions (there or thereabouts). Stick with AG. If Barnes keeps it up, he could be worth a punt as an unknown quantity and impact sub. It's still a big 'if'.

I think the issue the Murphy will have is that I doubt he's seen as a ge changer off the bench.
There's no way he's replacing Saka at RW as a starter for the tournament so I'm not sure I see much benefit to the national team unless you want him on as a defensive winger and for that you can use Tino

    Yeah, this for me.

If Murphy gets called up, having already seen Dan Burn play for England, in the same season that we won a cup, then I will have to assume that either:

    A) Magdad spiked my drinks, with some strong hallucinogenic drugs and I am still in London waiting for the cup final to start, or
    B) I've been abducted by aliens who are experimenting in human brains, or
    C) I died and am in heaven where everything we could possibly dream of happens, or
    D) Chaos actually did sacrifice his arse to the devil so we could finally taste success

There's a whole Murphy thread where I've said that he's not going to be any good as an impact sub. Yet apparently I'm wrong.

I don't think he'll get selected. There is Saka and Palmer who can play out there. He won't get past either. Maybe he'll take a look at him a s a back up option in case of injury.
