Hypothetical. If we manage to beat Oxford - and I said if - we'll be 3 points behind them with a couple of games each to go. We've then both got home games - we take on Brom and they've got Sunderland. If after that lot we're still in with a shout, we know we've still probably got to go to Norwich looking for a result, but guess who Oxford are away to last game of the season..........
The Jacks have beaten 3 of the teams around us recently. Trouble is we can't beat a carpet. However a 4th Jacks win wouldn't go amiss if we can beat Oxford, West Brom and Norwich. Hmmm.......
West Brom is a great game for you now, they're out of the play-off race, so will be switched off. Excatly what you want at this stage of the season.
Not quite out of the P/O race but know what you mean - they might be by the time we play them. Just hope they haven't switched off just yet - they're home to Derby on Monday ...........Come on the Brom!!!........
On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is the doom scenario and 10 is just survival, how more optimistic are you now that Riza has been replaced by Rambo?
But, if you want a serious answer, I think the odds are stacked against us now. However, at this stage Rambo probably has a better chance than anyone. Whatever happens, I'd like to see him in place for next season with a guiding arm close to him. Perhaps then we might start to build a style of football at long last. If course, there's a danger in him being too successful as he'll be eons more popular than Tan. And Vince won't like that.
It’s difficult to understand why they ditched Riza with just 3 games to go. The writing had been on the wall since at least last November. How many games have gone by since the opportunity to press the exit button would have been justified?
I guess being sure of a replacement might have had something to do with it. Gawd knows what goes on behind the scenes at our club.
Well yeeeeeeeeeesssssss but Ramsey was right there in front of them and on the payroll- it’s just so maddening that it’s been left so late to try another person. It’s not as if he would have done any worse surely- the bar was so low.
