Here’s a thought. Today’s complete cheating by Bristol may have done us a mass the play offs. The fans will be much more up for it. The players will undoubtedly be more up for it.
Pretty prophetic after that performance. What is it with those ****ers, celebrating getting a player sent off after a **** refereeing decision. They surrounded the ref and he bottled it
Funny one for me. I dont think Trai needs to touch him at all (watched it back sober this morning), but he does. Then Wells milks it of course. I just dont see the reason for Hume to grab him at all. All that said, in a typical 90 mins I bet that happens 10 times in open play and you probably get a foul 7 or 8 times and a yellow once. Just seems unlucky for Trai we had a ref who didnt have a calm head.
Le Fee spoke very much like the lads have been told to coast the season, and I’m ok with that. If we go into playoffs as ‘off form out of sorts Sunderland’ and are underestimated, then the intensity is raised that’s a massive in our favour. Even if RLB did tell the lads to push, it’s hard. We see it every year with mid table team going through motions and it’s plays carnage with the results and expected scorelines, that’s what brings the twists and turns end of every season we all love. We will be a different beast in playoffs, even if I have to admit watching it these last few games absolutely chips away at the confidence and belief as a fan. Let’s take the plus that Trai gets a rest, cos he is so important. Shows how little oppo fans know when they only mention Jobe. We know Jobe is a big player for us, but he isn’t the heart of the team. I think we do play Bristol again over 2 legs. We will be up for it as a team, we need to be as fans. I’d take your hand of for Bristol over 2 legs then Sheffield United. Let’s not overlook yesterday was massive for them, and nothing to us.
I thought it had to be a clear goal scoring opportunity?, how about booking that old tw@ for the dive?
DOGSO. Nothing obvious about it at all. No way of knowing whether Wells is getting time, he knew he wasn’t imo which is why he threw himself to the floor
Enjoyed the day away good catch up with friends. Awful referee who ruined the game with a very poor decision. Just watched it back and not a red for me. The actual celebration by their players that a player has been sent off is disgusting. Anyway it gave us a training exercise attack v defence which almost worked. Nothing to be scared of if we meet in the play offs. A long tiring day but we may have to do it all again soon. Haway the lads.
Yep. Absolutely spot on. Denial of obvious goal scoring opportunity. The direction of the ball, proximity of the GK and defence. There is nothing obvious about it at all. Also, saw 4 worse fouls around our box by them, no free kick even. people say about the dive second half where he tried to win a penalty and say ”he didn’t claim so that’s fine”. Sorry, it’s not. He dived to try to win a penalty. Regardless of his reaction, he should’ve been booked. as for the Bristol city players surrounding the ref. 3 times! Not one of them booked for it
The referee wouldn't have given that red card if it had been the playoff final at Wembley ... not a chance. The way Bristol carried on shows just what a small time outfit they are ... and they know it.
Don’t think he gives it at the sol either he hesitated Bristol players got in his ear and he sent him off, soft referee and really hope we use it as fuel if we meet them in 3 weeks, nout against Bristol mind met a fair few of their fans in the museum earlier in the season and they were all sound, probably go as far to say if it’s not us that goes up I hope it’s them, want us to batter them though
