Probably the worst side in the league at the moment.

Not unlucky Clingo just another example of not doing the basics.

Ok both their goals had elements of luck but the very best we were going to get was 0-0. A couple of powder puff headers looped to the keeper was all we could offer.

Another abject performance showing how average at best the players are.

Oh well onto our next game …… more big words from Riza, another bout of tinkering with the starting eleven and more than likely more disappointment and despair.

Well, I have to say, no one played badly today (except possibly Tanner who just couldn't get into it at all), but the issue is, no one played well enough to impact the game enough for us in a positive manner either.

The Blades weren't any better than us overall in my opinion with the exception of their finishing/anticipation... They got lucky breaks for both goals but also anticipated the possibility of the ball rolling in their favour whereas we were just too hesitant and unsure with our opportunities.

We have to find 2:wins now or we're done for....

You're right nin but he's human and up until then was playing well and had saved us on a different occasion.

The lack of creativity was clear once again along with a coherent and well practiced style of play. Too much tinkering and farting about under Riza.

Can't argue with any of that.

We have a total inability to attack defenders in their own penalty area so rarely give referees decisions to make.

One penalty all season, saved, although knocked in the rebound. I don't know the stats for other clubs in our division but in Div. 1 Birmingham have had ten.

Different division, different standards but evidence of what happens when defenders are put under pressure.

We either can't or won't. I thought Alves would change that but the more I see of him the more it looks to me like we are coaching that out of him added to which we simply don't get the ball forward quickly enough whether it it is to Alves, Ashford, Davies or Tanner.

Let's face it, Div 1 for us next season. An opportunity to reset and start playing progressive football again, maybe?

I had hopes that Salech would help keep us up. It looked promising with his early goals.
Unfortunately, the continual tinkering has reduced the opportunities he's had.
As with numerous strikers before him, he gets no supply.
Riza isn't the only one to make a potentially decent striker look poor.
However, his continual formation changes and inconsistent selections has exacerbated things.
    Division 1 is looking a certainty.:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Come on there were a number of players who played awful. Tanner worked hard 1st half but his passing was woeful. The passing and crossing from the whole team abysmal.

If I was giving marks out of 10. I'd give Fish 6 which would give him comfortably man of the match.

How much of it is how poor these players are or is Riza making them worse.

L1 won't be easy either unless we get a complete managerial shake up and a good window.

Otherwise we will struggle there as well.

Next season we’ll struggle without a massive overhaul of the club from top to bottom.

It’s all very well for the Sky commentator tonight to say were building new training centres etc but what’s needed is footballers with the ability to play the modern style and a coaching unit who know what they’re doing.

We have some poor players. But Alves very highly rated bet he does well next season.

Mannsverk is at Ajax but can't make simple passes unless it's backwards.

Salech looked really good. Today hopeless looked non league level.

Robertson looked promising now the Championship looks too much for him. How much is this on our coaching staff.?

Add in some utter crap players and it no wonder we are going down.

A lot of it lies at the feet of the coaches.

We've been fortunate to have had a couple decent managers in the relatively recent past that shaped average players into a decent side.
DJ took journeyman and formed a team. He added a bit of fairy dust and got us punching above our weight. Ditto Colin.
The thing they had was a formula, motivational skills and the trust of their players. They made the whole greater than the sum of the parts.
It's not what we've got from recent managers.

I think individuals are performing below their capabilities.

Your last line is absolutely bang on Remote.

So many individuals that could or should be performing better.

When you look at the players we lost in the summer, I don't think there's many that we'd have said we really needed to keep.
The signings we made in the summer were pretty much, on paper, sound signings...

El Ghazi was a calculated risk, if we could get him firing then we'd be laughing.
Willock, seemed a good, solid signing.
Chambers seemed like a good capture of an experienced player..

Salech when he arrived looked very good.

Overall, I don't think many of us were too disappointed with the summer business, yet the "lesser" team from last season outperformed the apparently better team we now have...

When you look at individual errors and poor performances, many in this current squad need to take a good long hard look at themselves...

    Absolutely bang on the money.

Last season the club overachieved. Bulut should have been shown the door last May. Riza should never have been let in the door and the same applies to Shaw.

Dave Jones definitely had a formula and the trust of some very good players which he should take huge credit for. I'm not sure of the motivation skills mind.<laugh><laugh>

This squad is unbalanced lacks pace fight and physicality.

Warnock inherited a squad with some quality and added Hoilett and Bamba.

We have a few youngsters who should be on to their agents to get a move.

Chambers Willock El Ghazi Turnbull all been awful signings and we will be stuck with 3 of them on high wages in L1 because nobody will take them on.

We needed pace - we signed Willock who doesn't have any.

We signed Chambers to play out from the back. He can't pass for **** has no physical presence and no pace. To be fair he made some good late tackles yesterday but how the feck did he play for England.?

    Just bad signings.

Bulut takes the blame for those signings inc El Khazi.

ps who’d win out of a foot race between Chambers, Robinson & Willock<whistle>

    Me!!!

And my Parkrun times are no better than 37 minutes now. I save it all for a turbo charged last 400 metres when the after burners come on.

We should meet up at your run, Trelai I think, or mine at Porthcawl, on a nice day, to run for the Not606 Parkrun wooden spoon.
