Another glorious sunny day, with a comfortable temperature to be outside. Eight hours of gardening yesterday does give something to see on the line of progress. More of the same today. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Three hours does me, absolute tops. Then again, I don't enjoy gardening. I do do more than I ever have as I take on more of the things Mrs Fez now struggles with. BTW latest scan yesterday and back to the oncologist the day before the Blackburn game... kiboshed that trip, alas: if the news is good we'll celebrate and I won't be up in time to get a coach/train whatever; if it's bad news then obviously I wouldn't be going anyway! She's been flattened by the winter lurgies and hasn't really recovered though the bloodwork hasn't suggested it's the cancer. Trying times.

Slowly building a few muscles up again, and now have made a start of reclaiming my veggie plot. A rest on my garden seat every now and again is required, but when the sun is shining that is great. Friday I was sat there when I noticed a small young deer had come to join me. I sat very still as it walked towards me, curious to see what I could be. It came within two metres before I twitched, enough for a few leaps, and it was gone. I will have to get the fences back up when the vegetables start to grow.

It feels cold after some glorious sunny days. After overnight rain, gardening is off the agenda for today. In any case, I have an appointment <with the audiologist. My hearing has been deteriorating for some time, and the TV volume I like is different to what Mme wants. Age is catching up, I suspect. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Glad you are on the mend OFH. I have had hearing aids for years. Mine are from the NHS and are as good as ones you buy privately. I have battery's free from nhs as are all upgrades. Does the French system do similar? As for the TV, put the subtitles on, mme will get used to them, I can't live without them even with my aids in. I can control mine with my Oticon app. Good luck, at least mme will stop shouting at you.

My hearing is worse than I thought. The French system operates differently, but essentially you can get them free if you don't spend more than €900 per ear. I now have to go to an ENT doctor who will clean a blockage, and after additional tests issue a prescription for what I need.

God knows how my Grandad would have got on with an app - he used to have to turn off the switch at the top when my Gran was talking!
