Maybe but we clearly want Rohl and Rosenior, I'd have thought if Cooper was near the top of their list we'd have hears rumours like we have for others.
Cooper is too good for a Championship club. Probably waiting for another offer from a Prem club, or one abroad. Going back to the Champ is a backwards step for him. I'd say he's on par with Potter, who somehow is always in the conversation when it comes to a lot of the top jobs.
I don’t know, Potter has achieved far more in the PL than Cooper has. When did he get sacked by Forest? Had he already kept them up or was he looking like taking them down/good chance of going down? He did well with Leicester compared to how they are doing now but I don’t think any of the PL teams who inevitably sack their managers November/December time will be busting a gut to hire him. Maybe one of the promoted sides who almost certainly will be relegated if they are changing managers then. Think if we wanted him we could get Cooper, don’t see much better offers coming in for him. It’s not like when people were saying “get Potter/Moyes” back in November when they would clearly get a PL job from a better side
Potter is certainly more proven than Cooper, has achieved more with Brighton than Cooper with Forest.
I don't know that's true. Rumours are exactly that. Many occasions we've had something or someone come completely out of the blue. I'm just not putting too much stock in anything other than Rohl (because we have openly been interested there). They may well have spoken to Cooper and he's said no. I just don't think there's any reason to think he hasn't been considered.
I must be missing something. What exactly did Potter achieve at Brighton? One 9th place finish in his third season with them. Since then he's been shown to be out of his depth at Chelsea, and now struggling at West Ham.
Yeah evidently Brighton are a very well run club so how much of his success there was down to him and how much their recruitment. I’m sure most PL managers can get a tune out of a squad that is packed with talent like Brightons was/is. West Ham also have some very good players, so be interesting how he gets on with a pre season to stamp his style
I would say that Potter probably established BHA in the PL as a decent squad and reliable upper mid-table team. The Chelsea issue is like many before him there, a graveyard for promising young managers.
It was Hughton that got Brighton promoted, followed by two seasons avoiding relegation. Potter came in and they carried on surviving for two seasons, until a somewhat impressive 9th place in his final season. I remember a lot of Brighton fans and were fairly disgruntled with him and his style of play. Dr Zerbi came in and instantly improved them. Potter's Chelsea were abysmal. Bottom half despite spending hundreds of millions. We beat them twice that season, and that was the year we went down.
Pierre Sage is up for his next job, ideally in England and wouldn’t say no to the championship, can’t say I know a lot about him…..option or no option?
Right, if we are doing fish puns AGAIN you have to use Google’s top ten obscure fish: 1. Mangrove Rivulus ( Rivulus marmoratus): These tiny fish are known for their ability to survive in brackish pools and even hide in logs when pools dry up. 2. Blobfish ( Psychrolutes marcidus): Found in deep ocean waters, these fish are famous for their gelatinous, flabby appearance. 3. Wobbegong Shark ( Orectolobidae): These sharks have a distinctive camouflage that allows them to blend in with the seafloor. 4. Barreleye ( Opisthoproctidae): These deep-sea fish have large, tubular eyes that are filled with a gelatinous substance, allowing them to see in the dark depths. 5. Red-lipped Batfish ( Ogcocephalus darwini): These fish have a distinctive red lip and walk on their pelvic fins. 6. Sea Toad ( Chaunacidae): These fish have large, fleshy mouths and are ambush predators. 7. Peacock Mantis Shrimp ( Odontodactylus scyllarus): Though not a fish, these crustaceans are known for their incredible strike power. 8. Vampire Squid ( Vampyroteuthis infernalis): These cephalopods have bioluminescent arms and are known for their unique reproductive strategy. 9. Parrotfish ( Scaridae): These colorful fish are known for their parrot-like beak and are important for coral reef health. 10.
