As widely reported at the time and more recently. "West Ham: Taxpayers to meet Olympic Stadium running costs." "West Ham United will have many of the running costs met by the taxpayer when they move to the £700m Olympic Stadium next year, the BBC has learnt." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/33780720 "The continuing drain of West Ham's bargain of the century." "Signed off by then London mayor Boris Johnson in 2013, the arrangement means home matches are effectively subsidised by taxpayers, with the stadium losing around £10m a year." https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-62406154
I don't blame them for taking it tbf. Blame should be aimed at authorities and Seb Coe. Should never have had the athletics commitment made. Feel for their fans tbh. Properly horrific.
Not a hope they would get that for him now. 10m max I would argue. I did think he was slightly older than he is mind you
Saw this comment on KUMB "Reckon we could pick out 11 players from the crowd to play, and at least get a draw..." Not wrong either are they.
Upton Park (or the Boleyn Ground) was a great old fashioned ground, but transport links were terrible. Stratford’s much easier to get in and out of. The stadium is a bit sterile though, and the views are mostly ****.
Nah, not for me. Tried it a couple of times when I lived up there & just can’t get my head around the liquor.
Mostly, some pie shops have 'family secret' herbs and spices. Pie, mash and liquor, bloody luverly grub.
Go for it keep an open mind. I like the eels with vinegar and pepper, defuckinglicious! Edit - forgot the saveloys usually from the chippies
I think that us fans are echoing the drive that has been shown by the players, in order to avoid being labelled the worst Premier League team ever. Hence the complete lack of involvement or interest.
