This is why the cartel pushed through a rule to have only 1 in the technical area.
Klopp even laughed on live TV that it only affected 1 club.

    Murphy.

Barnes was (supposedly) a £40m player already.

I'm sure there's some who would still prefer to be in the position of Villa/Chelsea/etc

We did the same with Manu. And then we just stepped up.

And that’s what this squad does.

We have massive momentum and some players who really really care.

What a time to be a barcode.

Murphy is in the form of his life, we just need to learn from the Almiron episode. I think we will, we don't have another RW at all.

But, honestly, games like that you can't imagine a better CB than Schar, a more solid player than Burn, a better leader than Trips, a more dynamic player than Barnes. The levels these players have reached are crazy and a lot of you lads were right, about the patience, the process, the manager.

Barnes on the left has transformed the side and Murphy for me isn't just a purple patch because he's doing quality things in all areas of the game.

Lots of people are going to make out like the Villa match is a make or break game to get Champions League football, for them it us but for us it isn't.

Win our 3 homes games and we'll have 68 points. Chelsea wouldn't be able to catch us (they'd need 14 points from their other 5 games so 5 wins out of 5) so it would mean that for us to finish outside the top 5 Forest, City and Villa all need to get over 2 points per game to beat us and two of them would need to improve their goal difference. Add in that Chelsea play forest and Villa have to play City...

We wont even need 68 points to get top 5. Probably 65-66 would be enough.

The results in the away games just give us breathing space and the chance to look at finishing 2nd or 3rd.

I'm with you, mate. I've never seen anything like him, his engine, energy, drive, ability, calmness. I thought Bruno G was the pinnacle of a Toon midfielder, Tonali's almost twice the player (bit OTT, but still).

    Brilliant, brilliant player.

Love that mate. Add in that if we do - as we should - win the home games, Chelsea is one of them! We are currently 92% likely to be in the UCL.

I mean, **** me - UCL football AND a trophy????? EH becomes one of the best Toon managers of all time.

Yeah we can lose but a win and a win vs Ipswich would pretty much do it.
