we need to at least draw v Sunderland ..... DONT KNOW WHY WATFORD IS IN THE BETTING MIX but share a fixture Blackburn and Watford can max @68 points so one will either max 68 the other 65 or both 66 pts [draw ]
I’m with you on this RS. However, that’s because as fans we have more of a fear factor going on - and we also know from bitter experience our clubs infuriating habit of throwing away opportunities. The pundits and predictors only look at stats - and the stats show us in good form with a points advantage.
red squid............. Obviously we are in the driving seat but I can’t say I am as confident as those figures suggest! BCRW ...........I’m with you on this RS. However, that’s because as fans we have more of a fear factor going on - and we also know from bitter experience our clubs infuriating habit of throwing away opportunities. The pundits and predictors only look at stats - and the stats show us in good form with a points advantage. It also needs to look at who is playing who .. to a very discerning degree especially last 2 games! posted elsewhere Coventry/ Middsbro/WBA clash's Plymouth when you look at their results season wide they have taken 3 from quite a few much higher placed teams [ been a bit like us in the past could never cash in on points available when playing bottom teams [ bottom 6 or so ] take Plymouth you wouldnt give them a chance of any points from their last 4 games but they need at least 6 ... if not even 7 or 9 !!!
A win on Friday against Sunderland will go a long way towards increasing our odds of a play-off spot. I am expecting a draw which although not bad will bring back the squeaky parts in abundance and right now I would settle for that long awaited play-off chance with no hassle please. A loss would be a massive blow both to the supporters and players as it would probably take away some of the reasonable zest we are playing with right now. I will be screaming from the top of my capacity on Friday and I really want to see section 82 bouncing again just like against W.B.A. as it was a sight to behold.
Its all to play for and there will undoubtedly still be twists and turns to come. We could lose to Sunderland tomorrow and be no worse off depending on other results, although 3 points for us would be absolutely MASSIVE Coventry v West Brom is a huge game tomorrow ! Middlesbrough play Plymouth who are desperate for points to avoid relegation, while Millwall go to Blackburn who have slipped out of contention for a Playoff spot Wins for us and Coventry with Millwall failing to win at Blackburn, and Middlesbrough failing to beat Plymouth would paint a very very nice picture indeed for us I cant wait for 15.00 tomorrow Up the City !
I’m stressed to fk about this one. Oh why can’t we be boring safe mid-table ‘normal’? It’s the hope that kills…….
Exactly how I felt about the QPR game. I didn’t follow it, left it until 5.30 before I even checked the score , I’m debating whether to watch tomorrow on Sky or not,
couple hot cross buns and pot of tea for half time ..... CITY v SUNDERLAND importance wise......... Blackburn WIN v Millwall Middsbro DRAW v Plymouth [ Plymouth WIN ] Coventry DRAW v West Brom [ WIN for WBA ] Sunderland just need 1 point to guarantee 4th
I was up there for the WBA game, afraid to say I used the lift. It was a cracking game and as the last minute goal went in the roof came off, amazing!!. Remember to take some binoculars to see the pitch
I’m going to the PNE game, I hope we’ll be celebrating a play off place. Wow, who’d of thought we’d be even in with a chance at Christmas, what a weird league this is this year.
The favourites for places in the Playoffs (other than Sunderland) have all had bad runs, loss of, or indifferent form, and injury issues all at the wrong time. But it's fantastic that we have a chance, when, like you, I'd have had us as mid table finishers, at best, just after Xmas.
I was up there for the Man U game - it was an amazing night - one of the best ever. Someone should shoot that bloody seagull though…..
I'm in the upper in the posch seats right in the middle next season. Those steps are nearly as bad as NEWCASTLE away. The lifts make it easy.
