Following on from the golf last night, cant help thinking we are Rory Mcilroy. Relying on others dropping shots, birdies some matches bogeys the next. Lets just hope we end up with the same result as him, without the play off..

We've only been hammered once this season

To find a team with less goals conceded than us
You need to go up to blackburn in 10th

But only luton have scored less goals than us

We dont have much creativity or goalscorers
We are almost always in games, we never capitulate

We’re in games until we concede a sloppy goal and then we don’t look like getting back in it because we struggle to score ourselves. Teams have sussed that they can score a goal and sit back to hold onto a lead.

I wonder where we rank for points gained after we go a goal down. The only games I can remember us getting something from a losing position this season under Sellés is Leeds and Oxford both at home and West Brom away. Under Walter we came from a goal down to draw Bristol City at home, Plymouth away and came from a goal down to win against Stoke away and Cardiff at home.

99% of teams rely on other teams dropping points
Its a weird stance thats suddenly appeared
Unless you win all your games
You want other teams to drop points

Some reason? There is a specific reason.

Let’s just hope that Selles has managed to use the additional time to get the players in the right mindset and come up with a game plan that gets us a result.
Like a few others have said, I don’t think a draw would be a bad result but a win would be a massive boost to our chances of survival.
I’m feeling a bit nervous at the moment though.

We must score first , it’s the way I would guess though I’ve not checked most of this divisions teams get wins particularly .
I’m afraid I’m not into finding the answer it just looks that way - we’ll got us it seems that way .
Cov will come at us they move the ball quickly and easily from what I’ve seen . Hope we are awake !

I get what you’re saying re “free hit” but for me no! I’m wanting to see passion, attitude, determination to seize the initiative, 3 points, to reduce the pressure building in last few games. Obviously a point wouldn’t be the end of the world. We can’t be relying/needing others to help us out, we need to do our own business or we don’t deserve to stay up. I’m a tad anxious of the Puerta situation/attitude and influence on rest of squad, so would like others to show fight for the cause is still there.

Got everything crossed for tonight. UTT.
It's the very least you could expect. But sadly lacking recently.

Pretending to quote me with something I haven’t said, or even implied, sums you up rather nicely. You utter chump.

Theres definitely a difference in the two games.

Coventry are a decent side who still have something to play for. Our home form is poor but it’s our game in hand and whatever happens we won’t lose much ground.

Swansea are an average side who have nothing left to play for. Our away form is good and we’ll be playing at the same time as teams around us do - so they can make up ground.

Anything we get from tonight would be really welcome (and also take some pressure off Friday, which would be great), but losing also isn’t a disaster.

I actually hope the players feel all that tonight and try to enjoy it a bit and not force it as much.

Err, the OP and reply weren't about tonight v Swansea! They were about our games v Preston and Derby compared with v Swansea!!
I agree, anything we get tonight would be really welcome. A point could be invaluable.

Feel sorry for Coventry. As a **** hole it fails to get the credit it deserves. One if the ****tiest **** tips around.

City 3-0 This Season’s Play-Off Also Rans.
