In todays prices Tino must be worth north of £100 million after seeing what he can do on the left in these recent games...if he keeps playing like this Hall might have to vacate LB.
Admittedly he hasnt played enough games at LB to be sure if this isnt just a purple patch but at only 22 and being English if he maintains this form i reckon he's definitely going to be valued at £65 million+(£100 million+ if selling to Chelsea)
When hall is back Tino goes back to RB as Trippier will be gone. He can however cover both flanks as as such it makes him versatile. Worth easily 50-60m.
And that's exactly what we need. Nobody should really be able to just walk back into the 1st team following injury or suspension. They need to earn their place again, against strong competition.
Absolutely and that's why I'm highlighting the fact Trippier deserves his spot. There's some people that have been after him for a while and he's served the club well. He looked finished tbf, but nope he's now back and playing very well, so people could at least acknowledge it. Ps. I thought he was done myself
Tino's value for me is based on what it would cost us for a comparable if not better replacement, factoring in the 'he's English' factor, I'd be mighty pissed off if we accepted an offer less than £60m for him.
He's a leader and a winner, so I don't have a real issue with it - it's a squad game. But he has to stay fit and play well, too often in the past couple of years Trippier has been very poor. Livramento has effectively solved the LB backup issue is great for spending this Summer, full back not a priority anymore and Targett could/should still be sold.
Tino is priceless currently and going forwards could be worth his weight in gold if he develops and stays injury free. Can already play both full backs equally well, said the other week I see him as a CB in the future but also has a little bit of "Gareth Bale" about him when he's driving forward and could probably play further forwards on the wings if needed? Between him and Hall a left footed CM whose been developed into a LB we could cover the whole pitch with those two bar keeper and striker! Think with Shahar coming through as well behind them, keeping Trippier around to help Tino and Leo develop is a very good idea - probably lose him on a free end of next year but for £12m + wages over the 4 years Trippier would depart, having played a huge part in driving the club forward after the takeover and probably go off to Saudi or America, with everyone's best wishes!
When you say trippier is trippier again. Do you mean he’s got his form back? They reckon he’s off at the end of the season. He’s still good enough. He has another season in him for us.
