Funny how none of these rugby fans had parents from Bradford or Bolton and became supporters of them, isn’t it? Never seen a car with a sticker of a rugby club from another city next to a Hull City one like you see stickers of football clubs from other cities next to the stickers of FC and Rovers.
Nobody in Leeds who supports the Rhinos can have parents from anywhere else as you never see them supporting the Rhinos but a football club from somewhere else.

I was born and raised in Hull, my daughter was born and will be raised in Leeds. According to your rules, what team is she allowed to support?

So, will she be following a football club from one and a football club from the other?

Do you know everyone in Hull and where their families are from to back up your assertions? 99% of people in Hull who support clubs from other cities do so because they are sad inadequates. And the rugby fans who do are the worst because they go on about how proud they are to support their local rugby team.
My dad was from Leeds, He played on Elland Road a few times for Leeds schoolboys. Doesn’t mean I had to follow them just because they were more successful. As I said, never seen a rugby fan in Hull say they follow Rochdale or Crewe because their parents were from there. Seems for some reason Hull is rammed with people who moved from Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. Yeah, sure.

How about the Rhinos and City? Local rugby club and football club from another city seems to be the rule for a lot of FC and Rovers fans. Though your daughter would be different, she would be supporting the local rugby club but a football team less successful and well supported than the local one unlike the rugby fans in Hull. Not all are like you and support both the football and rugby clubs in Hull.

And all this because some Hull fans sang nasty songs half a century ago... Imagine if some of these posters grew up in Gaza!

I have yet to meet either a Fc or a HKR fan who also 'supports' Hartlepool, or Tranmere for that matter. Excuses for not reading above that this point has already been made, but it is never the less still true.
I always found it galling, and pointed it out recently to one Fc fan waddling through St Stephens in Hull in his Fc replica shirt with blazoned on the back 'proud to be local' yet on his leg ( he was wearing shorts obviously) he had the Leeds United crest tattooed. Local my ar5e.

City or Leeds United. Maybe with the one not chosen being their '2nd club'? It really isn't difficult.

Not really on, mate. Bit of an arsehole action to stop someone randomly out shopping and minding his own business to criticise them for their weight and tattoo/clothes. You've no idea what he's going through or dealing with in life, or if he's a great fella doing things for the community or his family. There's no 'real' rules over who to support, it's an emotional choice and his reasons are different to yours.

This argument has been going on for 11 years on here now .
It was a traumatic day back in 1980 even worse than the trauma that was suffered at the battle of the Somme

1980 was 50 years ago? Still don’t know what these nasty songs were.
