I think this match is a bit of a free hit - a point would be great, but a defeat wouldn't be the end of the world at all. What is going to define our season is Monday week and the following Saturday, two home games against enbeached Preston and desperate Derby. Those matches will define our season.

I find him arrogant, I feel his managerial career and opportunities are based on him being an England golden boy, he exaggerated and over reacted to Bielsa and spygate, just a very dislikable coach, more dislikeable than Wilder
Nobody apart from colin is more disliked than fat **** wilder..

By some, whatever else he was Warnock was a winner, and away from a match he was always worth listening to. 'When I die I don't want a minute's applause, I want a minute's booing', shows he's fully aware of how some see him.

Has Scott "Desperate" Dann moved to Derby ?

In many ways Warnock was, like him or not, a modern day Cloughie. He may not have won the same amount of silverware but he was still an enigma that commands respect, for me anyway.

Coventry are in good form and challenging for a play off spot, frankly this is a difficult game for us.

Obviously a victory would be brilliant; whilst it obviously wouldn't secure our safety it would put us firmly in the driving seat.

Our performances over the last 3 games have been poor; without that last minute Charlie Hughes header we really would be looking most likely to go down. That's the small margin that's keeping our head above water at the moment.

A better performance and a point, whilst obviously not ideal, would be acceptable tonight.

In fact, I'd probably take that now.

For all we are at opposite ends of the table, whilst we've lost 19 games so far, Coventry have lost 15, so they are not world beaters! Lets hope it's 16 after tonight.

Is (also supposedly enbeached) Swansea A on Friday another of those games that somehow "doesn't count"?!?

Theres definitely a difference in the two games.

Coventry are a decent side who still have something to play for. Our home form is poor but it’s our game in hand and whatever happens we won’t lose much ground.

Swansea are an average side who have nothing left to play for. Our away form is good and we’ll be playing at the same time as teams around us do - so they can make up ground.

Anything we get from tonight would be really welcome (and also take some pressure off Friday, which would be great), but losing also isn’t a disaster.

I actually hope the players feel all that tonight and try to enjoy it a bit and not force it as much.

And a villa win v psg acca

As for the "free hit" thing. If it helps take the pressure off our little diva snowflakes and improves their performance, fine I suppose.

So are our players divas and snowflakes
But derbys
Portsmouth
Oxford etc
Not?

Really dont get this

I get what you’re saying re “free hit” but for me no! I’m wanting to see passion, attitude, determination to seize the initiative, 3 points, to reduce the pressure building in last few games. Obviously a point wouldn’t be the end of the world. We can’t be relying/needing others to help us out, we need to do our own business or we don’t deserve to stay up. I’m a tad anxious of the Puerta situation/attitude and influence on rest of squad, so would like others to show fight for the cause is still there.

Got everything crossed for tonight. UTT.
