True, but we've struggled against Southampton, Wolves, West Ham...

Just saying that our form is gash.

Either way we earned it. If you score 9 goals in the first half of a game, you still win the game if the opposition scores 8 in the second half.

Averaged out across the season we're the best team in the league even if we lose every remaining fixtures and Arsenal loses theirs too. And I will celebrate just as much. Yeah, our second half of the season is mediocre, but our first half was very strong

Scraping home? We have a 13pt lead with six games to go. Scraping home is doing what Rory McIroy just did at the Masters in a play off. He still won and is The Masters champion. Do you think he cares now about how he did it? He’s probably pissed up at a celebratory party.

Of the 6 games left, which ones are you expecting us to lose? We were’t great against West Ham in that second half yet when they equalised we went straight back up the pitch and scored again to win.

That’s what wins you leagues, having the ability to face adversity and overcome it like we did yesterday Arsenal haven’t shown that this season in comparison to us which is why they are 13pts behind.

It is what it is. We only signed an attacker that hasn't played much so it's no surprise that our season has panned out the same as last season. It just so happens that it looks like its good enough to win the league this year

It's better that our squad is being shown for what it realistically is so that we know what needs to be worked on in the summer.

Rory did his utmost to lose it and a fortunate bounce on the first playoff hole off the slope won him it.

There was a lot of hacking around by a lot of players there.

The big liv muppet couldn't hit an iron anywhere accurately. Absolute joke.

Scheffler the day before was just hacking it around.

Mcilroy gambled 2 or 3 times hacking out and was largely unpunished and then hit the water when he could have it it anywhere else.

There was no excuse for McIlroy with a wedge to put the ball into water or go in to the bunker on the last and then miss a relative straightforward par putt to win on the last. It was only that fortunate bounce off the slope on the first playoff hole off hole that got him close for an easy putt

All the ‘scraping’ talk is fantasy.

The reality is this normally goes to the last game or 2, we are absolutely miles in front because no one else has been as consistent as we are.

We therefore have the players to thank that we can simply get a bit annoyed that we aren’t free flowing right now, rather than be utter shivering wrecks trying to hold on to a minimal lead.

    Enjoy it!!

Haven't read back so don't know what's already been said. Delighted with the win and also the fact it was a late winner made it more exciting. I try not to criticise but the substitutions were baffling. They actually made us worse. Tsimikas, for instance, was doing a good job, no need to take him off at all. Not a big deal when you win but first time I've seen Slot run out of ideas.

Tremendous entertainment, that last round. Love watching the US majors late at night in bed knowing I don't have to get up in the morning. greatest ever that one, as far as I can remember, and McIroy pulled off two of the best, sublime approach shots from the Gods that you'll ever, ever see: and two of the worst, ridiculous (especially that atrocity at the 13th) that you'll ever witness.

Good of him and Rose to put on a support event and build-up to the main event - that is Nick Faldo telling us all about his victories at the Masters, by going into minute detail of every ****ing shot he ever played at Augusta, and just how brilliant he was/is. :emoticon-0138-think

It's like watching Darwin at times, isn't it? The easy looks difficult, and the out-and-out impossible looks routine. Rollercoaster ride with every round - compulsive viewing though. :emoticon-0175-drunk

Yeah, you're not wrong in all that. I think nothing epitomises it more than Virgil: he's carried that defence all season and been imperious until the last month, and now he's sort of gone all Rory McIlroy at the 18th. To be fair, though, unlike Rory, we have an 11-shot lead going into the final few holes. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I can't play the game to save my life, though I've tried on several occasions. The Majors are usually sound entertainment though - last night deffo was. You've got to be dead from the neck up not to have been thrilled watching that.

I've heard a lot of whinging about holding in the box from West sham fans, something about vvd pushing in the back but amazingly nothing about fixing alisson by holding his arm while another guy smashed him in the face.

Nor shockingly not one thinking ward prowse was a big girls blouse that earned his side an advantage by handling it.

The ref was **** all game. He let loads of stuff go randomly and didn't give a **** about consistency
