Man. These days of waking up after smashing manu. Beating Liverpool in the final. Competing at every level. I could get used to this.
Amorim came in with this great reputation, then said he didnt have the players to play his system, surely a good manager would come up with a system that suited the players he had? Anywho i dont really care, watching man u get spanked will always out a smile on my face.
He's only really had one proper managing job at Sporting, and is very young for a manager, so in reality Man U were taking a huge gamble with him, like Chelsea did with AVB. He's been an abject failure there though, the only thing in his defence is that the mighty Dan Ashworth saddled him with some utter dogshit - ie Zirkzee, De Light, Ugarte and Yoro.....not exactly the golden generation anymore
He's had no money yet basically and remember Newcastle didn't get much better until they spent money under Howe. They've been improving of late and Yesterday came after they played away in Europe on Thursday, were forced into focusing more on Lyon and met a Newcastle side at full tilt. The time to judge this guy certainly isn't until he's had some funds.
You're right in that sense however anyone can see that those players can't play 'his' system so he has to find another temporary way
When he puts the players in it'll click. All the training will be based on this system. If he waits until he has the players he's probably just wasting time because the current players will have to learn it then. He's not going to get 25 new players. The youth players will already be learning it and it'll all come together imo. Regardless it's just unfair to expect him to turn water into wine and Yesterday they weren't focused on as much as this Thursday.
Someone you have to compromise. You can judge him because he's being stubborn. In the same way EH was criticised for continuing to play Burn at left back or Lobby instead of Tonali. He needs to play a different system and start gently with these ****e players
The outcome needs to known to make that claim. If he signs the right players and next season they're doing well then that will mean what he did worked. I can guarantee if Howe didn't get 150 million in the first window our formation wouldn't have been the issue, but people would say he should be doing something else
EH had a championship squad throughout. RA has a lot of international quality players. He's either a top manager able to change things or he's not. Funny how you've called out EH numerous times over not changing things yet whenever it's another club you give the benefit of the doubt. RA so far has been a truly insipid signing for them. That said, credit to their hierarchy of they decide to persist with him long term wise. A refreshing change considering you see Southampton sack Juric despite when he signed it was clear they were going to get relegated so why hire him.
Just to clarify that our results massively improved after our first big spend. Amorim hasn't had that yet has he? So judgement will follow.
