Much needed rest for Jobe to get over his little ankle knock, Le Fee being eased back in

if we weren't safe in the play offs they probably would have played both games and risked a bigger injury.

There's a bigger picture here and we have to trust the coaches, let's be honest after the season we have had they deserve that

We’re not creating chances, for any of our forwards. It’s so poor really they’re feeding off scraps might aswell not be there

the technique for his offside finish yesterday was class

watch it be different with ELF playing

It looks like I struck lucky missing this one but if someone had said we would have qualified for the play offs with 6 games to at the start of the season surely all of us sensible people would have took that.
I get the momentum bit and all that but to counter that we are resting players which most people requested as well.
I believe we can beat any of the teams over 2 legs and if we get to Wembley we are more than capable of winning whoever is put in front of us.
If we were to get promotion I also believe Jobe will give us at least a season in the Prem. ( unless silly money tempts the club to sell)
That is me with my usual positive head on. Fk knows what will happen if we dont go up but my season tkt is renewed regardless.

If we play like yday we don't.

But we won't so we have a chance definitely. Get out first 11 back in for final couple and build the good vibes.

People wanted Aleksic to play, Jobe to be rested, Watson to be involved, Harrison Jones given a chance, Enzo to play central, etc etc etc ...

... it all happened and naturally disrupted the team but still the complaints flood in.

Why can't people be realistic and not reactionary.

The style of play is an interesting one, it does seem to impact the atmosphere in the ground. Whats your thoughts on the atmosphere inside the ground yday? I thought it was dead and that's reflective what's happening on the pitch. I remember the start of the season, atmosphere at home was really good.

I hope that for the last couple at home we get back to our strongest 11 and back to the high energy performances. Be important for the play offs leg at home IMO.

We should always trust coaches. They will know where the players are in terms of play off ready. Some players seem to be machines who dont need resting, like Hume, ONien and Neil. Others need treating cautiously like Le Fee and Aleksic, for different reasons. Jobe probably moans like mad for being rested, but the coaching team have the luxury of making the call. We are the only team who will take part in the play offs who can do this.

I am big believer in momentum in sports. But I am a bigger believer in mentality and talent. This season, this reality is 4 teams have been miles ahead of the rest for so much of the season. If Milwall come in with momentum they are still some way off what we have shown in the season. Should we worry about their momentum or believe in our mentality and talent shown for months? I honestly think we are probably prime pick for play offs due to this run of no pressure. Mental tiredness is an important thing, maybe our players are getting that sort of breather too. For me, when that whistle goes for leg 1 I think we will see elite mentality kick in again and then our talent can win the games.

I honestly think that's the plan, rest a few players, give the fringe players some minutes. We are lucky we are actually in this position.
The other 3 teams that are in the play offs don't have that luxury.
I think the last 2 games will be completely different, I think we'll start them with are strongest 11 and get everything right for the play offs

I said, before the game, there would be no edge and like a friendly ...

... there was quite literally nothing to play for and that's been the past month if we're being honest.

We're 16 points clear of seventh so there's very little to get wound up about.

I'm not sure why you're quoting one line of my post, it changes the context of what I posted.
Fed up of the constant negativity on here, same ones, without fail.
My post was a reflection on that....I wasn't really confused :emoticon-0103-cool:.

    My original post....
Got to admit, I'm a bit confused.

Are we readying ourselves for the play offs by resting players, easing players back, and not risking further injuries.

Or are we on the verge of relegation to league 1 with a clueless manager.

Reading the last couple of pages itwould appear it's the latter.

Sheff Utd, who will probably fail to be promoted, had to play almost 100 minutes when they couldn't take off their best players.

They did lose Clarke, to injury, and O'Hare came off limping.

They're clearly the strongest playoff contender with a manager who's done all this before. He replaced Cannon with Kieffer Moore and played Diaz but were beaten by the bottom side, their third on the bounce ...

... RLB clearly said he'd use these games for minutes and experimentation.

I'd say that, even in his first season in England, he's handling things much better than the experienced and well funded Wilder.

It was a harmless joke mad ...

... sadly, on the internet, you can't see my grinning little mush <laugh>

I was agreeing that there's confusion when it's difficult to understand why ...

... RLB spelled it all out pre-match.
