The point is this; we have spent sht loads of money on players over the last five years. More so than most teams in the league. Recently, the money has dried up with very little option of selling our players to recoup and buy new players. So where does that leave us knowing we have limited funds?

Unfortunately it leaves you 14th, and on a pile of massive debt and (mostly) **** players.......

thats why there was a gap between the reply to Bod and my general observation on ManU.

Why close the forever match day thread?

It makes to keep match day activities in one place instead mixing sht up one thread. It’s killing the forum.

And changing the title of this into something of a rage-mode is a stupid idea.

    You reckon.

    What's he supposed to say?

Good man management is not digging your players out to the press.

He's got to defend his keeper.

Have you ever seen any manager say he has no faith in one of his players?

What the **** is he supposed to say <doh>

    Are Bayindir/Heaton any better?
Yes Onana has ****ed up many times with his lack of concentration when stopping easy shots but he has also made many fantastic saves that a lot wouldn't have.
We certainly need a better, more reliable keeper but at the moment i am not sure we have one at the club.

I wouldn't be against that but from the little i have seen of him he's no better.
Fact is we need a new keeper (proven at top level).

Well, he's been taken out of the spotlight today at least.

Hopefully Bayindir isn't equally as bad.

Shame about Onana turning out to be so predictably poor, they could do without having to spend the money replacing him.

The team is like nine men at the minute, **** keeper at one end of the pitch, non striker at the other.

    Arsenal fan here.

The problem with football these days is time is rarely afforded yet not every manager has the same process. Some do require it.

The Amorim situation actually reminds me a little of Arteta.

When Mikel arrived he tried fitting the squad into his favoured 4-3-3 formation but he just didn't have the players for the system. The key difference though is Arteta eventually switched to a back 5 just to keep us in the top half of the table.. Still it wasn't until he had signed the required players to fit a 4-3-3 that we started to quickly improve.

Amorim has just stuck to his guns, I assume that's because he believes some of the squad will still be there and he needs them to learn how to play 'his way'.

It's a tricky situation because another Season like that and you guys could be in serious trouble. On the other hand all he might need is a transfer window or two.
