Staying calm isn't what football's all about for me, I like to get carried away. It amazes me how anguished people become about things. We've comfortably qualified for the playoffs whereas some fans know they could still miss out, Coventry and Boro have to play each other and that could be a mini-playoff before the real thing. I can't bring myself to worry about momentum, injuries or who our opponents might be tbh. We know we can beat anyone so I'm going to enjoy the ride and make the most of it.
Slightly disappointed it looks like we’ve missed out on top 2 after the good start we’ve had However I’m looking forward hopefully to go to Wembley I’ve rearranged my holiday plans to fit in Wembley Let’s do it
If you had offered me the Play offs this season, at the end of last season, I would have snapped your hands off. We are heading in the right direction whatever happens in them
all for it, the scramble for tickets will be insane. after last season debacle POs and just missing out on top is massive, would have told you to stop sniffing white powder and laughed in your face.
Id be much more relaxed if I knew our regular sicknotes Cirkin and Ballard were back and able to get through all the games. Also abit concerned now that Mundles season looks to be over, which once again leaves us weak on the Left and Le Fee once again playing out of position. Id loved to have seen him get a good run in the middle, the position that earned him France U21 call ups and for Roma to pay 20m for him. From past experience its usually the team that goes into the playoffs on a good run of form and high confidence that win it. I really hope we can use these remaining league games to boost morale for club, players and supporters.
Our morale should be fairly decent tbf, we’re the only ‘playoff’ team unbeaten in the last three games and, despite defensive changes, three clean sheets. We have the perfect game against Swansea in my opinion, one of the few teams with nothing to play for and a long trip to the SOL. Win that with a few goals and I’ve think we’d all feel quite positive. BTW, I’ve doubt I’ve can make it on Saturday, so my ticket will be spare … … if I’ve do make it someone will have an SC I’ve can use.
If Mundle is out mate, then Watson needs to step up and prove he's a Premier League player in waiting and is willing to pull his puddings out to get his local club promoted. No way should Le Fee go out on the left again. We need him in the middle where he can hurt teams more. That was what we brought him in to do. I'm with you on the Cirkin and Ballard situation. We need them both back and playing at the top of their game. They can make a huge difference. We're already in the Play Offs, so the next 5 games could be deemed as irrelevant, but I would like us to keep the momentum going and hit the Play Offs in a rich vein of form. The Semi-finals will be a battle, but if we can get to Wembley, we can beat anyone on our day. Personally, I'd love to stick one in Wilder's pipe and see how ****in smug he is then, the kernt.
Swansea are coming from a 3 nil midweek win, so their confidence will be high. I think any team that comes to the SOL in this league ups their game and i expect them to be up for it on Sat for their own personal gain and to end the season on a high. Ive got my tickets for tomorrow mate. Im bringing my lass and her daughter to their first ever game at the SOL. They are both from Luton. They live up here now though. She was in the Luton end when they beat us at Wembley a few years ago.
Yeah, I know, I can just see Burnley boring their way to the premier if they drop out of the top two. 1 goal in the semis and a 0-0 in the final winning on pens. As for Cov, we've not beaten them in the last 10 meetings or something. Real bogey side. I'd be much happier/confident if we swerved them two. Not saying we couldn't beat them, but rather we didn't have to meet them.
Just want to see us find some form and show some cohesion at this point. I really don't need us to go up this season. I'm in no rush. Would just be nice to see a flash of the brilliance we saw at the start of the season.
I’d go with Mayenda on the left over Watson personally. Watson half arsed strolling about and pulling out of tackles isn’t what I want to see. Isidor up top with Le Fee as the 10, Mayenda and Roberts wide. Neil and Jobe in the middle.
Correct. We are finishing fourth, so we'll not be playing a " flyer" who scorches into sixth on the last day, which can be worth avoiding. We're in the raffle with three others and that's it I thought we'd struggle this season, maybe be okay by about now. Apart from Wilson, the team has mostly been from the squad that lost it's moorings completely last season and in another month might have went down. Good young team, getting better. If you can't enjoy this, I genuinely cannot see the point of going or following.
Don't understand that crap about sixth place at all. Millwall win their last five games, they probably squeak into fifth having won 8 or 9 from the last 10 in the season. But we don't need to fear them because they finished fifth and not sixth?
It's just happened once or twice that's all. Sometimes a team just gets on a one at the right time, new boss, players back from injury and so on. A team in Millwall's position would be such a team. I hope it's them, and we get through and play them in the final.
Really I’d hate to have that lot at Wembley - it would just spoil the whole experience even though I think that we’d beat them.
With the injury update today, I can't help but wonder if it's all coming together at the right time......
Im fecking devastated. Just realised im going Camping in Wales for a week the day of the playoff final. Gutted. Any idea what time ko will be anyone?
