Are we not setting our sights a bit higher than that? I know he scored an absolute screamer couple weekends back but is he that good?

I can see NW getting 1-2 players like this because he knows them and he wants a squad. Remember many people were underwhelmed by Derry and he came up with the goods. I trust NW to get in the right players but if your Xmas present is ‘Defoe’ I truly believe you will be disappointed. Too many people believe these ITK’s (who actually know nothing) and think we will be spend £10M on an England striker and that he would choose us over a number of better teams? Sorry we need to wise up.

Lazy journalism. For as long as we have NW we will be linked with Palace players. Their imagination doesn't stretch much further.

ELLERS, football fans like to dream. Sadly, I think you're spot on here and though I don't think there's much truth in the Ambrose rumour, it seems a whole lot more likely than Defoe.

Agree we like to dream but sadly i really cannot see it (Defoe). TF will not go and splash £15-20m on players in January, and def not £10M on Defoe. He will be staying at Spurs because they will finish in a Champs Lge spot and play some of the best football. Forget all this 'done deal' rubbish as we have heard it all before and it ended up being a 'non deal'.

I can see 3-4 players coming in but i reckon the majority will be players the likes of Ambrose or a Kebe (Reading) for the squad. We must be honest and realize that we will be in a dog fight and come the end of the season and NW will get in players to keep us up.

I can also see a player coming from the Asia because of the TF links and maybe a loan but really cannot see 5 top players coming in. I would love it if it were true but it won't happen.

Maybe next season if we stay up i can see a Strengthening of the team but this season is purely survival.

If Sean Derry went the other way I can see it happening. Whether I would like that I am not sure.
