Cov get a 94th minute winner! And what a finish it was too. Pompey are looking over their shoulders again.
Still don’t think they’re in any real danger even though the gaps reduced to 3 points again. If Derby manage to pull off a result at Fratton on Saturday I might start to change my mind.
The Echo mentioned that ex Saints academy boy Alejandro Gomez Rodriguez would be on the Lyon bench for the game v United and it seems that he is indeed on the bench. Would love to see him get some minutes, even for masochistic reasons.
My lad looking forward to his first proper south coast Derby next season. He has seen Bompey but discounts that Ben brought up proper
Keeping fingers crossed for Athletic tonight! I am nervous given Rangers' capacity to be unrecogniable in this competition compared with the dross they have served up in the SPL.this season.
Onana must've had those Matic comments stuck in his head. Two goals conceded and both of them were bad errors.
I thought the first was far worse than the second. You could argue the second was a decent save from a powerful shot and his defence were also at fault for not getting to the rebound
That late turnaround from Plymouth. Wow. Also, Wilder getting rattled at the end and causing trouble. What an idiot.
Eddie Howe taken to hospital. I hope it’s nothing serious . Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has been admitted to hospital and will miss the club's Premier League fixture with Manchester United on Sunday. The 47-year-old went to hospital late on Friday evening, having felt unwell for a number of days. A club statement said: "Medical staff kept Eddie in hospital overnight for further tests, which are ongoing. "He is conscious and talking with his family, and is continuing to receive expert medical care. "Everyone at Newcastle United extends their best wishes to Eddie for a speedy recovery, and further updates will follow in due course." In Howe's absence, assistant managers Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones will lead Newcastle for the visit of Ruben Amorim's side to St James' Park.
See Pompey managed a last minute equaliser today which is a huge goal for them. Should be fine now I reckon with Watford and Hull at home to play.
I'd definitely expect 50 points to be enough to survive in the Championship, and I suspect that 48 points will be enough. A couple of games still to play on Monday/Tuesday, and then it's the big Easter double-header weekend across the EFL. I've found myself far more focused on the EFL in recent weeks than the PL (in part because of my accumulator!).
Oh Aberdeen!! That is shocking. To throw away a two goal lead against 10-man Rangers!!!! Up to you Athletic to put Rangers and their fans in their place on Thursday!!!! For me, Rangers make Ratcliffe's Manchester United almost loveable.
