From the BBC football gossip section - Chelsea are leading the race to sign Sunderland and England Under-21 midfielder Jobe Bellingham, 19, ahead of Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Brighton and Crystal Palace. (Caught Offside) Jobe needs to follow in Jude's steps and go overseas, goes to a PL club and I think he'll be wasted
Selfishly they’re the most likely to hoy stupid money at him so I hope they are in for him, adds another 10m on easy and plenty talent if they want to include a part ex casedi (excuse my spelling) wouldn’t be a bad replacement plus 20m for an example
For the clubs mentioned,he's an investment for the future. For us, the proceeds are an investment for now. Anything double digit, beginning with a 3 or above and an £M after....I'd do it without hesitation.
Agree mate I’ve resigned to him being away promotion or not he’s a future superstar, we will profit massively from it and who’s to say the next superstar isn’t already itching to come here? Being a springboard for these lads is a good place to be as a club
I do think out of them all forest would be the best option, they're definitely interested and are looking for a midfielder of his sort of profile to replace Ryan Yates.
Are there any similar types of players like this one you think we could be looking at? If we go up I think this is exactly the type of players we are gonna be after. I'd say around 4-5 PL experienced players whether that is to start, bench or in the dressing room and then the rest will be exciting young talent but with a higher price bracket I assume
Think people are getting a bit ahead of themselves with who we should sign if we go up, like . And also who we will lose... I'm not convinced Jobe, Neil, etc all bugger off if we do manage to secure promotion.
He goes to the PL, hes already against it by the media, fans etc, goes overseas, can build learn get better. away from the stresses of the PL
It's not getting ahead of ourselves it's just conversation about a hypothetical situation. Also, I think the only player who would likely leave if we went up is Jobe. He's the one attracting massive clubs who are ready to offer
In terms of young u21 players who could come in and start? I would think theres a few we could be looking at - without even needing to look at the top 5 leagues to sign from the teams who charge more. I can list a few who could probably do a job in the prem but then a few we could look at for the season after in the prem or champ: For Jobe/Neil: Mouzakitis, Caspar Jander, Petar Sucic, Nypan even Lennon Miller; to replace Jobe's physicality perhaps Kjaergaard, Mario Stroeykens, would have said Ezechiel Banzuzi but Leipzig nabbed him. Attacking midfielders: Ibrahim Maza, Andrija Maksimovic, Konstantinos Karetsas or Kostoulas (we'd be lucky but i feel similar to Leicester getting Genks previous 10) Some young CBs playing in Europe: Taras Mykhavko, Matte Smets, Albian Hajdari and then some projects like Jair Cunha, Joane Gadou, Nils Zatterstrom, Yasin Ozcan or Leoni at Parma. But I feel personally like you could get away with at most one young centre half in the first season promoted, would want an experienced head of Mepham's ilk - not necessarily him but he knows the team and system. Fullbacks are honestly what I struggle to assess most but think Hume would certainly be sufficient in the prem, just need some cover desperately so maybe an older right back so there isn't a big drop in experience if Hume was injured. Think the only exception I would make for a year right back is Read at Feyenoord. In terms of left back I know there was some major doubts about the quality of the belgian league when we were linked to Frigan but Maxim De Cuyper is my ideal option or someone like Truffert/Rothe/Zehnter. Despite us doing it this season to some degree I would like a bit of experience in midfield (I know by this point Dan Neil has played more than a lot of 26 year olds but some top flight experience too would be nice), I think Isidor+Mayenda have earned the chance of a shot but do you think we should sign another striker as someone competing for the number 1 spot? - Sorry for rambling slightly theres just a lot of players to keep an eye on the next couple years so tried to keep it brief and only include more realistic options.
I wonder if we go back in for Simon Adingra if we go up. i'd like both sides on the wing to have rapid wingers. I feel like we need to upgrade on both now Mundle has been re-injured and watson is leaving
Thats the best part In terms of Mykhavko I think his performance against Gala was what really cemented him in my mind as a serious option after he bested Osimhen for basically 90mins. Jander is my favourite midfielder to watch at the minute but you might be lucky to find any videos on him - for some reason hes going under the radar for all those youtube scout types. Also one i forgot to come in as a 10 is Aleksey Batrakov - still not totally sure what signing from Russia is like, never been too clued up on the politics side of football. EDIT - also for the future Oskar Spiten-Nysaeter and Sebastian Olderheim playing in the second tier of Norway together but both destined for 60+ caps theyre insane.
Yeah i just wasn't sure if he was allowed priority to leave because of not being a Russian national. Hopefully someone clued up on all this could clarify.

Tremendous post and I bow to your knowledge of football outside of our leagues gona spend a nice couple of hours in the park looking these up cheers
I think PSV would be a great move for Clarke... Also playing in europe is a bonus for the lad... Ipswich just not the club for him
