Sounds like the higher up just wrote this season off? Fantastic. I know we were all pretty down, but my god, you'd hope and expect the clubs leadership to not be so defeatist. Pricks.
...if you believe it. I think they were probably being pragmatic, but it's stretch to say they'd written it off. That piece is so very speculative.
If that was the case then pricks they are. I'm loath to believe a post on the ultimate social media disgrace without some sound verification. Developing talent and selling on has always been part of most club's business model.
A completely fantasy scenario, but I do wonder what would’ve happened if SR had bought Saints straight from Katherina before Gao. If they had inherited a stronger playing squad and invested similar levels money wise as they have done how it would’ve turned out.
If my memory serves me well, it often doesn't, you had a match in the director's box and were able to gauge the mood so to speak.
Yeah true, I shouldn't really be so suckered into an typical standard Athletic hit piece, but equally, I can believe that part based on how we've managed the season as a club
I did. And the sense there was almost a diametric opposite to that piece. Kraft and Parsons were still foolishly believing we could stay up, and that that was the primary focus.
It's just a bit inconsistent. Apparently the club decided to get Dibling into the first team in order to sell him later for profit? Okay, so why have they now put a 100m price tag on his head, which can only have been done to put clubs off bidding? And why weren't SR telling Russ to play Dibling last season, if they were eager to get him in the shop window?
It's there to get clicks from people like me mate, who are utterly prepared to believe those "sources" because that definitely, 100% must be the truth please log in to view this image
£100m price tag won’t put clubs off. Once they bat their eye lashes he will be off, we will do well to get £50m. I don’t ****ing care to be honest, he can **** off on a free for all I care. SR can go **** themselves too.
Well yeah I guess. No reason we couldn’t keep him, he can’t be on that much. But if I think like that I’ll only be disappointed and angry when the inevitable happens. I’m sure SR will get in a perfectly acceptable replacement. While I’m on the subject of SR: they can go **** themselves.
I think the whole point of sport is to compete and not merely make up the numbers. Sports Republic got people to pay for season tickets on rhe basis of supporting a competitive team. The fans have been ripped off.
I was reliving some music from my teenage years and this song (as well as the music video) perfectly encapsulates my feelings for this season. The stone at the end is the cherry on the cake
