Don’t know how accurate these figures are but our wage bill is £2 million more than theirs. https://salarysport.com/football/championship/sheffield-wednesday/ https://salarysport.com/football/championship/hull-city/
Our owner likes the perceived 'exotic' option or it's a deal that he thinks works for Fenerbache and us. Why can't we go for and secure players who know the championship?
Listened to Nicky Campbell this week with a football finance analyst about Leicester , their average wage when they got relegated was £90k a week , they had no relegation clauses !!
I’m not sure Pompey at their place is a good game . If they need a result too last game of the season I don’t rate our chances
We've signed loads of players with Champs experience the last few years. Christie, Crooks, Gelhardt, Figueiredo, Giles, Delap, Seri, Sharp, Drameh, Millar, probably way more I can't be bothered to look into. They don't always work out wherever they're from. Some do, some don't. Look at Giles.
Wages are a matter of public record once the club in question files their accounts. A graph in this tweet from Kieran Maguire shows that our wage bill was quite a chunk higher than Wednesday's (£29.6m to £21.8m) in the last set of accounts:
Good effort OLM. You're plagiarising something Stan Laurel said about a Hollywood film producer in the 1940s or 50s. Only he would have been funnier.
In fairness there's not much that hasn't been said.* *See gigs thread. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Laughable reading some of this ****e Coyle is the problem A right back I do wonder if Real Madrid and ancelotti are licking their wounds after A 3-0 drubbing and thinking our ****jng rb is the problem not the centre midfield who do **** all going forward and never around to protect the back four Does a lovely pirouette and passes back to the cente back tho Lovely stuff
Yes typically when teams concede goals the focus is on the defenders who allowed the goal to be conceded. Scoring goals is also an issue and they are also a focus for why we aren't scoring more goals. The two can be considered at the same time. I'm sure Real Madrid aren't concerned at all, they're only 3-0 down at HT after all.
Courtesy of baz Luton, Sheffield Wednesday and Watford have conceded a combined 178 goals between them this season, yet City have only mustered Charlie Hughes' header against them in the past three games be that ****ing Coyle again I imagine
They've conceded 178 goals between them in 123 games, shame we've only gotten to play them 3 times. Like sorry but what idiotic, rage-baiting by Baz. Leeds, Burnley and Sheff U have only conceded 71 goals and we've scored 7 of them. 10% of the goals those teams have conceded have been against us.
Pointless stat, how many teams have scored past Burnley this season? How many have put three past Leeds and Sheffield United? I don’t doubt that our goalscoring has been our main problem this season but those sort of stats can be manipulated to fit any narrative.
It's just Baz playing to the lowest common denominator and trying to stoke drama and angst amongst supporters. No sensible person will get sucked in by it.
