Here it is, the first big Major golfing tournament of 2025 and it's the emerald green jacket that is the main prize on offer, well I suppose the £20,000,000 prize pot, the winner getting in the region of £3.5million...!! Not bad going for hitting a little white ball around the most scenic, plushest ground and manicured fairways possibly in world golf...!! All that a side, though the money is great, who will be the main contenders this year, and who, if anyone is going to stop the machine that is Scottie Scheffler...?? Well, I don't have him wining it, though that's not to say he wone go on to win it, I just think he's not at his tip top most of form recently so it's game on for the rest. The required skill set round Augusta is score well on the par 5's and put like a demon, strokes gained on the putting surface usually means you go on to claim the title. If you go onto the PGA website they have put up a 'Step-by-step' guide to identify the winner, which is pretty good if you take it all in, see link attached... I've gone with the following who I am hoping give me a run for my money come Sunday night... Russell Henley @ 30/1 Robert MacIntyre @ 33/1 Corey Connors @ 33/1 Cameron Young @ 110/1 All done on Bet365, and all to finish top 10... Good luck to all if you are having a play...
Fascinating start to the final round. Rory loses 3 shots to de Chambeau on the first 2 holes then pulls back 2 on the 3rd. Good response by Rory, should be a thrilling final 15 holes.
Another 2 shot swing to Rory on hole 4 and he moves 3 in front. Dechambeau 3-putted the last 2 holes and he needs to get his putting together quickly. Crazy mental pressure.
Although I left the golf last night with Rory 4 shots clear i woke up to find that he needed a bloomin play-off win over Justin Rose to secure the Green jacket, which i didn't see coming...!! I'm glad that Roy has now extinguished those huge disappointments of previous years chasing the Masters win, I just wished he hadn't beaten Justin Rose in doing it...!! Never mind, have your day, well played, it's been about time...
