If US companies shut down production in Detroit because Mexicans can make the cars cheaper , then transporting them & selling them to Americans. He ****s them with Tarrifs cancelling out the savings of paying American workers a liveable wage . It will only work if the next President keeps the same plan . America first
The US, especially the car industry, imports a lot of raw materials and parts from outside the US so those materials just got that wee bit more expensive. Who pays for that extra expense. The consumer that's who. So the American people will foot the bill. He is raging against a system that was set up by the US to favour the US. It's incredible.
I can't see Nike et all setting up swet shops in sunny California any time soon. Especially when Trump has kicked out all the cùnts who would likely be working in them. There hasnt been much thinking things through tbph.
The chips from Taiwan & lithium from bongo-bongoland , I guess US better start mining lithium & creating chips. Tezla will take a hit
This whole scheme apparently comes straight from the project 2025 playbook, and goes something like this, Threaten / impose tariffs. Spook the markets which in turn reduces interest rates. Renegotiate US borrowing on these new lower interest rates. Pass on the savings to corporations and his wealthy mates. It was supposedly going well until Trumps narcissism kicked in, which is now in danger of derailing the whole scheme! It was never about US job creation and this has been backed up by American CEO’s who have largely said capital investment will not change direction from their current global plans.
The Americans have a massive trade surplus in tech and services. That is what will take a hit. Trump is Ratner on steroids. It's crazy. First he alienates all his allies then he goes after the chinks. It as if he wants to bumfùck the Yanks into oblivion.
When the corrupt globalists gut a countries manufacturing & oil production, it takes a while to rebuilt it but at least he's trying. If a pair of Nike shoes cost £3 to make in Vietnam & Nike World charges idiots £150 a pair they may need to pay £6 for the same shoes now. Meh
In 2012 my wife asked me to go to Burbery in Regents street to buy a duffle coat . It cost about £700 , in China it was the equivalent to £1500 in Burbery Wuhan due to the luxury goods tariffs. This is nothing new
I'm not saying it's not a good thing to try and wind China in a bit but wouldn't it have been better to have a concerted effort from the rest of the world as you do it? Instead he's fùcked over every cùnt who will no doubt seek other markets away from the unreliable and chaotic American one. Where do you think they'll head to?
It's like Tesco & Amazon putting small businesses out of service eventually they charge what they want because there's no competitors. Go to any English high street it's charity shops Turkish barbers nail salons candy shop vape stores & phone case money laundering fronts . I order most of my China made **** online too but it's killing our country
