In 2023 they asked the FL permission to switch after going five years without a Tuesday home win. Perhaps the FL acted with their usual haste. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
It’s definitely a positive that Stoke have been kept in it. We might only be two points above the drop zone now, but don’t forget that two games ago it was only a point.
MAGIC NUMBER for GUARANTEED SAFETY IS NOW 58 POINTS (5 wins). 4 wins and one draw would give us 57 points, which would pip Cardiff SHOULD they win their remaining 5 games AND we have a better goal difference than them (Cardiff need a + 12 swing to better us) OR if tied on goal difference we have scored more goals than them over the whole season (we need a +6 swing to better them). Next update: Next Monday post Coventry match.
I won't hold my breath, more bad news to follow. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
The fact City can’t win games back-to-back says a lot, in my opinion. Really sick of the post-match theatrics after an away win. What’s wrong with going up to the fans and clapping? Why the Kloppesque bollocks like we’ve just won a cup final? This lot need seriously humbling because it’s really embarrassing to see them go on like that after an away win because they will inevitably follow it up with a big bag of ****e the following game. Wow, you won a game. Well done. Try winning another right after. Try fighting for every loose ball in every remaining game. Try coming out for the second half not being fast asleep. Try not being ****.
Have faith 2 Rs. Sky blues to wilt under pressure (CLOUDY SKIES) If we win, any result in the following 2 games will not kill us off. nor if we lose : Blurbirds v Potters Pompey vs Rams
Dont say that, you'll get rinsed for it.... ive been saying it for months,... and for OUR manager to allow it shows his naivety.
I've just read the match report and manager comments from Derby v Burnley.. dont make good reading. Someone said last night, what a job Alex Neil has done at Millwall. after we played them I backed them to be relegated they were that bad, 3 defeats in 16 matches since (Bristol City, Leeds, Plymouth). Success is about a plan, (not changing the side every game) stringing some together, gaining confidence. Does our manager inspire it... I have serious doubts.
They’ve averaged 1.56 points per game in the Championship since he took over. They’d be in the playoff places if he’d been in charge all season. I thought at the time he was the best of the names floating around as he was very experienced and has the stats to show he’s a safe pair of hands at this level.
Looking at the bottom three, this is what each team needs to do climb above us – in addition to matching our results: Cardiff 1 additional win; or 3 additional draws Luton 2 additional wins; 1 additional win and 2 additional draws; or 5 additional draws Plymouth 3 additional wins; or 2 additional wins and 2 additional draws
I can understand them getting caught up in a last minute winner on Saturday but overall I agree. Too many times we’ve bought our own hype
