    A season when our top two goalscorers could only muster 10 between them - the same number that Bayo has scored by himself this season. I wonder how today's disaffected 'fans' would have reacted to that?

    I was a season ticket holder that season. It was grim. I went to the first game of the season at Craven Cottage where we lost 3-0 with a craven display. Keith Eddy gave them one goal by fannying about on the edge of our area before giving the ball to one of their forwards.

    After being pressured early on, Watford played really well - almost dominated the last 20 minutes with some neat passing & control. Some excellent saves by Sam Morris.

    Outplayed but not disgraced - gave City a hard game.

    Sam Morris absolutely outstanding - hope there were no scouts eyeing him off

    Watford 0 Man City 1 - it wasn't to be but the young Hornets did the club proud against the holders and strongest Under-18 team in the country.
