We've virtually halved the gap with Leeds since the beginning of March ...

... that looked impossible and people, on here, were congratulating Leeds on promotion.

This is football, and Sunderland, who knows what will happen.

Jobe likely has a deal in place to leave in the summer too. Shall we drop him too? What about Dan Neil?

What dreams are made of. Only change I would request is that Leeds beat Boro, in an ideal world not have to play either again this season would do me, and still dreaming of seeing Sunderland v Leeds next year in the Premiership .

I'm not convinced Jobe will have even thought about having a deal in place, he seems like the type who will concentrate on his football while the season is ongoing as there is plenty of time to put deals in place from from end of season or even wait for the window. He might even be thinking that the situation will be different depending what league we are in.

I agree play Watson dependant on his attitude, I'm not convinced he will give it anywhere near 100% effort out there! I am not convinced on his atattitudeI'm probably going into it so much this should be in the transfer thread but he hadn't played more than a handful of games, is a Sunderalnd lad and supposedly got advice from Ian Harte and Danny 'watch out for that shop winda there' Graham! He refused the contract offer and as good as Brighton are at developing youth etc... I doubt he will be going there to be pushing for a start?

Jobe is different he has earnt a move isn't a Sundelrland lad who came right through our academy and despite him knowing he would likely to be looking for a move in the near future he signed contract to the 27-8 just last year, he knows he will get his move anyway but this protects the club to get the best price and him a higher wage in the meantime!

Dan Neil, from what people have said on here is doing similar and came through same as Watson. Knocking back contracts but at least he has played over 150 times for the club!

But all that said play whoever gives it there all out there. This team doesn't need any Jack 'hide and seek champion' Rodwells out there. This current team is forgiven their worst performances because the attitude is never lacking!

REGIS Le Bris expects to have Salis Abdul Samed back in his Sunderland squad for this weekend's visit of Swansea City, but Ian Poveda might not feature again before the end of the regular season....

Le Bris said yesterday: "So Leo is available now [to start], we have Enzo but just for a short part of the game for now. Salis [Abdul Samed] trained with us this morning so he should be available for the Swansea game. Step by step, we get two or three players back but of course we have now lost Romaine. If it's possible to manage the core of the group to play one, maybe one and a half games a week this is better but of course it's not always possible.

"With Dan and Dennis, I think they will probably need two weeks more," Le Bris added. "With Ian, I'm not sure. Maybe he will be able to return in early May, but we'll see."

Sunderland head for Carrow Road tonight looking for a third successive Championship win after the hard-fought successes against Millwall and West Brom. They face a Norwich side who now look to be out of the race for a top six finish after their weekend defeat to Plymouth left them trailing the play-off places by eight points.

Le Bris said: “Each week, the players are getting more experienced. We have a strong belief within the squad and we will keep pushing until the very end. For us, we still have to build momentum. The progress of the team is not linear. At West Brom, we showed great consistency out of possession so this experience will be experiencing*.

“Norwich are a good team, strong in possession with many threats to score. They have many options. They’ve struggled for different reasons but we will have to manage the game.”
