There's a big problem with the mentality of our squad (and has been for years). Juric has made comments that make me think he picked up on this quite quickly, so hopefully he and Spors have had plenty of discussions about the players and Spors is fully aware of which players contribute to that problem and need to go.
I don’t think he’s a very good manager, the man for man marking all over the pitch is one of the most mental things I’ve seen a saints manager try to do (again and again), but I don’t blame him for where we are at all. We were far too far up **** creek when he came in. He was always just the man brought in to take the flack for as long as possible and hope that he could improve us and pick up a few more results, which obviously he hasn’t done. I don’t personally hold anything against him. If having an interim until the end of the season can get us 2 or 3 more points then I’m in. Just need enough of the players to give a **** about those 2 or 3 points too, regardless of who the manager is.
Most likely you would imagine Rusk takes over for the remainder, but equally I wonder if the rumours around Leicester and Rohl might push them to take the hit of paying his clause if they really think he is the man for next season.
So much for him being here next season. Was obvious ages ago that he wouldn't be. His and Martin's record must be remarkably similar. Russell got 5 from 18 games. How many games did Juric have for his 4?
Unpopular opinion: Much like the January window and not spending money, the club have done the right thing by waiting for the relegation clause in his contract before doing this. No point in wasting money just to try and save a little face, when the bigger picture is it would make no difference and the money will be needed down the road when it can make a difference.
This must be the case. No way were they hanging on to see if he would keep us up - it was just the technicality of the contract. 6 premier league managers and 2 relegations in 2 seasons it is.
