FTSE down 5% in early trading... they were mentioning the Trump Truss moment... where's the USA checks and balances?
This is probably a good time to put money into the stock market, as long as you pick the right funds (know what you're doing) and diversify
I genuinely believe that telling the British public the truth is a guaranteed defeat at a general election. I don't think the voting public wants reality.
I'm not sure buy the dip will work yet. I think we've got a fair way down to go - and almost everything is being dragged down together
I might be wrong (obviously), but I'm hoping that we've nearly 'bottomed' so investing today would probably mean actually buying units on Wednesday or Thursday when it's there or thereabouts, before a recovery after large institutions have taken advantage of this rather large dip (by buying lots of shares when they're relatively very cheap)
I've largely given up trying to predict it these days. Can't shake the feeling that traders are making it up as they go along!
I've thought about this for a while, and the orange idiot should have sold a lot of shares (putting them into 'cash') before he started his stupidity, knowing what would happen (and is happening), before buying again as mentioned above. Insider trading is against the law, but he's immune, isn't he ! Perhaps he's not so stupid and knows exactly what he's doing
I suspect the big boys, big institutions and super rich were given the nod as to when to start selling --- and will be better placed than the likes of us to buy back in when price is lowest and ready to rise.

There are various SM accounts that track US politicians movements in the market. Most are reporting big sell-offs right now. Worth watching for when they start buying again though
They all knew when Trumps Truss moment was, liberation day They are much better placed to take advantage of the market than us mere mortals

Pretty much guaranteed they'll be working together to act simultaneously in order to all get in on the act before the little people know that the recovery is moving.

Yep. I think the difference this time is that these venal ****ers are assuming that the world is predictable. I’m not sure they realise how badly their fave may have ****ed things. The trade deal phase may well be interesting. If ROW governments liaise or could take out US leverage at the knees. They might not quite end up with the favourable terms they envisaged.
I wonder whether Trump and his cronies are shorting the market, I am sure I read a fortnight ago that Musk had sold a couple of billon dollars worth of Tesla shares. If they are they should be prosecuted.

We thought this about a month ago.. then 2 weeks ago.. and it still keeps going. Crazy! Look at Tesla and NVDA stock pretty much since NVDA earnings end of feb. Mate of mines portfolio reached €1m in Feb, it’s now €670k
Seems this originated from a Twitter rumour and was quickly denied by the White House. Shares spiked 8% on the news and quickly crashed back down again on the denial. Market is absolutely feral right now, but it’s pretty clearly articulating its wishes. Think we’ll see trump and his pals deny reality for another few days before caving and striking emergency deals all over the shop while claiming it was the plan all along. Just be prepared for when the 180 comes!
Part of me thinks, the amount of billionaires he’s surrounded by.. it could all be part of a master plan to make them richer. At the minute they’re all a hell of a lot poorer.
