I think we need to leave Palmer on the bench, at least. For some reason he looks so much better that way around. Lincoln deserves the chance to start though, he's got some magic in his boots.
If we can source a handy striker, our attacking options might actually look decent next season. I wonder whether Lincoln would be better suited to being a midfield playmaker? It feels like he has the right attributes.
Transfer market lets you play around with the criteria so you can be more specific, and Selles has us 7th since he took over. While there's a lot of factors that play into that (teams with less to play for dropping off etc.) it still does highlight that with a bit of consistency in the squad, a summer on the training pitch, and a few smart additions, I don't think we're that far off things.
it’s funny you look at the form table now over the last 6 games. We’ve got 1 point less than Derby who everyone’s waxing lyrical about because of their win streak. We’ve been quietly going about our business and had a major blip against Luton.
Our main problem is that our major blips come in the 6 pointers. If we'd have beaten one of Stoke, Luton or Cardiff we'd be several points clear and practically mid-table.
