I said that about Rowett at the time when he was available. Any proper controlling board at a football club would have recognised our need at the time, not another experiment which looks like going hopelessly wrong.

About fkn time. And it’s only the Playoffs. Even if you end up going down, at least you’ve had 2 seasons in the Prem when all we’ve done is huffed and puffed.
R&W - Best of luck to you if you get into the playoffs and eventually go up. The problem is it's like landing on Mars - another bloody planet these days as Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton have all found out. Last season it was Burnley and Sheff Utd who came straight back down and look at where they are in the Championship right now - not good enough to stay up but easily good enough to go back up. Luton who came down with them are an exception but suffer from the inescapable small club syndrome which is very hard to shake off - mind you we still can't bloody beat them......... I'd say it's worse now than when we went up those two times. It was bad enough to compete back then but now it's huge leap in quality opposition to contend with. Ultimate dream maybe and we'd dearly love to be in your position to have another go - then reality kicks in.
Thanks OS - but we aren’t good enough to win the playoffs when either Leeds, Sheffield U or Burnley are there. Against the others we might be able to sneak it - if the stars align, but those 3 are simply to strong for us.

Well not looking good at the moment ,but i believe 2 more wins could just allow us to survive,so the games against Stoke and Oxford are our only hope ,and of course other teams results go our way.It beggers belief that we are in this position,where to place the blame management, coaching, players i think a combination of all these things,but hope is eternal and lets be positive and get there on saturday and cheer on the boys PLEASE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
