Didn’t this happen exactly like this last year. They looked odds on for top two then in the last 2-3 weeks screwed it up. An unexpected chuckle at football in our anything than funny season.
Sorry if raised before but anyone else think the next World Cup is at risk. Don’t mean start a political discussion (there’s really only one side…oops, bad girl, slap wrist) but the logistics of a tournament where entry to the country may be a problem.

The way to really get the American public pissed off with Trump is to threaten boycotts of the World Cup and Olympics. I don't think the tariffs justifies a boycott, but certainly the Greenland stuff does.
FIFA and Trump are not shy to a controversy and as long as they can make money they will not care about the bad stories that come out. Look at Qatar for example. With more new teams and lots of South American fans and sponsorship money I am sure it will still be a money spinner unless something crazy happens which isn't unquestionable.
