What a grade A tit. That's like if Duff had said, "when I joined Newcastle it was to play Premier League football. Now we've been relegated, I can't believe it. I don't want to play in the Championship as I don't like Newcastle all that much."

God's sake, keep it in your head, apologise even for contributing to the 'failure' but don't say stuff like that.

    <ok>

ManU didn't pick up results, simple. City actually did better in their group than ManU did in theirs, when you think about it. City had a bloody tough group and to get 10 points out of it, they did very well.

ManU on the other hand, underperformed and as a result don't deserve to be in the Champions League. Sick of players thinking it's a god given right for teams like ManU to be in the CL.

I cannot express in words how much I despise Evra and everything about him.

I like Mancini though , shame I hate Citeh and their fans. Bit like the Wigan situation , really like Martinez but that club and their support is a joke.

I'd love to see Man United get knocked out the Europa League now.

    What a knob.

Sadly, I can imagine many Man Utd players/fans feeling exactly the same way. Hate the club and everything about them.

Evra is a grade A idiot who thinks if he has an argument with someone on the pitch they are racially abusing him, now that shows his arrogance.

It sums them up to be honest...My flatmates are Chelsea and United fans - neither watched their Champions League games. If Newcastle qualified for any form of European competition the buzz around the city and fans would be incredible.

Man City were a tad unlucky with their group like, any one of those teams would have had a good chance at qualifying in any group.

Posted the following on my glory supporting brother's wall, after he insisted De Gea was good, and it seems to bear some relation to the thread:

"De Gea is a shocking excuse for a goalkeeper, and in my opinion is exemplfying Manchester United's already numerous issues, which include a lack of any class in midfield (need to move the likes of Carrick etc on), dynamism upfront (Wayne Rooney has been in decline for years, though occasionally discarded by flukey goals liek his overhead kick... The fact he remains England's "best player" in public opinion is to me a disgrace.), poor back-ups (Evans etc) and woeful disintegration of former greats (Ferdinand et al, though Giggs appears to be getting enough at home and on the side to keep him fit).

If Man Utd were to buy Tim Krul in January for 7 million, and sell on that flop for around the same, I reckon £20,000,000 wouldn't seem as wasted as it currently is. Krul is starting to show the promise De Gea isn't.

De Gea flaps at every cross, looks visibly uncomfortable in matches, and as even the idiots on ITV noticed, he puts the defence on edge and forces them into mistakes as a consequence.

    Terrible sideburns too.

The fix for Man Utd is fairly simple, and is the same for Chelsea etc (who were beyond "lucky" to beat us 1-0, nevermind escape with 3-0)well spent money. Mike Ashley is ready, someone needs Tiote and Coloccini more (which will be shown in an over-inflated fee), but is it Man Utd, Liverpool or Chelsea?

On the subject of Newcastle signing a player, we will spend very little, most likely acquiring through loan. Cabral would be a good replacement for Tiote (almost), but his champions league ambition has been heightened because Man Utd are awful. Not looking forward to january at all, even more so than the fixtures against Norwich and Swansea where a humping awaits our beleagured personnel!"

If I were Pardew, Cabral would be a big target for me should Cheik leave, but obviously it depends on Cabral's willingness. I was impressed with him last night, and I've seen him play well before in another match also (that makes me a better scout than Wise anyway). Perhaps he is a Scandanavian supermarket's version of Tiote, but he fulfils a very similar role and possesses some class.

I love our squad at present and am basically trying to forge together a cheap version of it so that I can reassure my subconscious that losing players in january shouldn't spark a Kinnear like ****ing twating arseholing melt-down...

Aside from this digression, I agree with others, Man City did ok, Man Utd were poor. Nobody supporting a team in our domestic leagues have learnt anything new from last night, Man Utd are vulnerable right now, with weaknesses everywhere, while Man Citeh don't look out of place with some of the best in Europe.

Haha, why is this thread not on the Utd board?

An interview with Ferguson after the Basel game and he still rufuses to admit they are struggling in the CL.

I have a mate who does that, claims he's a massive fan but he doesn't really make the effort to watch them. Whenever the Toon are playing i have to watch it.
