Cheers mate. I took a few observations in yesterdays starting line-up and my views from the previous game...

Ogie was back in the team, so it was great seeing him get a start after so long, my second observation was the dropping of Jonny Williams to the bench, so maybe the new gaffer saw what I saw against Colchester. :bandit:

There was a third observation by me that was Hutton going for goal himself and what a cracker it was. Just to refresh memories I was very critical of our forwards for the past three seasons, and I had made comment that Hutton is getting the ball in there but it was constantly to a dead end, as none of our forwards seemed to know what to do once the ball was in the box.

It was good to see us get an early goal, amazing start, Nevitt slotting home a great assist from Clark, with a bit of a deflection but we'll take anything and rightly so. I thought Clark's initial tackle and his awareness to where Elliott was exactly what I was calling for in the last game.

I saw Luton's first goal against Leeds yesterday, in the early kick off, and that is the sort of energy, mentality and awareness I want to see, and Nevitt and Clark yesterday was a great example of that, but probably with a lot less effort, so I was pleased.

Overall, it's great, finally more than one goal in a game for us, and the manager now has time in our remaining games, to get a look at all the players, which might explain some of the changes, why not, experiment let's not put these last six games to waste and of course the minor matter of securing our L2 position to go again next season.

    1. Hutton great goal, maybe he needs to be a tad more selfish more often, instead of feeding static players.
    2. Clark for great awareness leading to the first goal
    3. Nevitt
