I erased your post because you accused me of having different rules for different posters. I have just explained the context and it appears from what you say that you do not understand that. Still you persist with this accusation As I said, others will decide. "You erased my post. Why was that, if you're able to say it to me now?" You repeated the same accusation and clearly wanted it in the public domain so I accepted that and challenged it.
Why was I called out for being personal in saying that you would accuse another poster for having an agenda, when you'd already done exactly that and repeated it since? Nice and simple... ...why can you do that and I can't?
Let's be straight about this and not hide from the truth, I accused you of exhibiting double standards applying to you... because you're a moderater. Don't suddenly become shy about it.
A simple admission that he was wrong in applying double standards, and, maybe a small apology for this (maybe not?) and we're golden. Fair play for all and this goes away.
I will discuss this with @PleaseNotPoll when we are both online at the same time. Can I call a timeout please so we can do that without having to get constant updates and before tempers spill over. I hope we can give a view before our game tomorrow.
Personally I don’t like the “no insults” rule. There’s such a thing as banter where playful insults can be humorous. Are these not allowed?
There is a limit. We try to differentiate between playful and stronger bullying type insults. Personal jibes if you will. Done with humour is usually OK, but calling someone stupid for a view is not on.
Your "agenda" seems to be that you want Ange gone. He could stop serving that agenda by not having his teams serving up the results of most of this season.
FWIW I was the poster in question and I didn’t take any offence to your comment. I have very different opinions to you and that is what makes this board interesting. However I do agree with Brian in that wanting Ange out isn’t an “agenda”. We would all love it to work out for Ange. I think most of us have been more patient with him than if it were another manager producing these performances and results. It’s just got to the point where there are no more excuses for him to cling on to. We are a poor premier league team showing no sign of any improvement even with pretty much a full squad back now. And that’s why many of us feel enough is enough.
Very, very true. When you factor in Jose, Conte and Nuno were fighting uphill battles the moment they joined and then at sort of the first period of negativity fans had lost patience with them, Ange has had it “easy”. Whilst he’s began to rub fans up the wrong way and have spats with individuals, the general view of many whether they were Ange in or out was that they liked him as a bloke but these recent spats and gestures has seemingly lost many who were previously in support of him. Just gauging social media I’d say it’s probably a strong 75-25 split in favour of wanting him gone now.
The cess pit that is social media seems to be at about 100% "sack him" at the moment. Or appeared so when I dipped my toe in earlier!! I'm still not fully convinced one way or the other yet although Ange is hardly helping his cause with some of his comments. Levy is currently the wild card, and I am pretty surprised he has not pulled the trigger yet, especially knowing his past record! For me tomorrow is the massive test. Struggle, or dare I say even lose then he's toast.
There’s probably a financial reason he hasn’t been sacked yet. I’m almost certain it’s to do with still being in Europe
I've seen mentions of a break clause in the summer, but nobody remotely credible has ever mentioned that Wouldn't surprise me if the reason we're keeping him is less financial and more for squad morale, given Ange is the only manager we've had this decade the players actually respond to, as under the ubermensch or Conte they would have downed tools around Christmas
