You can piss right off back to Wallaby Wanderers or whichever playmobil team it was you used to manage.
Going to have to disaagree here spurf. Poch set the ground work for us in the latter half of the previous season but maresca is a new manager with his own idea who joined this year. Ange has had a lot of his own players from the last 2 years
I thought we were competing in the first half, it wasn't great but at Stamford Bridge I was pleased we were seeing football rather than poor refereeing and cynical play. That changed in the last couple of minutes of the first half. In the second half the game reverted to type and the usual Chelsea Spurs game followed. It's a horrible game and always is I don't think many on here thought we would get anything from this game, even the most optimistic of us voted for a draw on the prediction league, so my expectations were low anyway. I was disappointed by the lack of creativity and most of all I see our problems are in midfield. We do not have an enforcer and in hindsight we might have been better off to keep Hojberg to shore it up. Despite all that, I think we have a good squad with great potential but as I said it's not the finished article IMO.
OK you know better than I do, but you looked a lot slicker than the last time I saw you play, and either way you were the better team.
One odd thing: some people claimed that Sonny shushed the away fans after Sarr scored, up to and including one of the usual aggregator suspects There is not a single photo or piece of footage showing this happening
We could’ve been 1-0 down inside the first minute and later on Vicario made a phenomenal save, we on the other hand didn’t have a single shot on or off target in the first 45. That’s not competing for me, it’s hanging on. Then the second half the inevitable happened. I agree that most of us expected to lose this. Partly because our record at Stamford Bridge is beyond embarrassing but partly because all we keep doing is losing under this dunce of a manager. That was now our 16th loss in 30 league games and almost every player has regressed under his tutelage. Even Spence had another poor game, his form’s dropped in the last 3-4 matches, almost as if once you get a few months of playing under Ange you then forget how to play football. We’ve had to endure some boring football over recent years with different managers but I can’t remember the last time watching Spurs look so clueless. To think that we sacked Jose in 7th with a cup final around the corner and sacked Conte in 4th, I’d love to know the thought process in persisting Postecoglou.
It’s even worse from this angle, the wave is absolutely there to antagonise the fans. **** knows how we’ve not seen “club statement” last night/ this morning.
It pains me to read this, but to me you are bang on. Yes even I predicted a loss as this match is now becoming so predictable in it’s outcome, but the manner of the defeat seems to be getting worse every time in my opinion. Last night I felt that there was no real bite or urgency to our play. Far too easily bullied off the ball and it would be interesting to see any passing stats, as to my eye it did not look good. Overall, we did not deserve anything and I thought we were pretty much out played across the pitch. The one area I did think they appeared vulnerable was the keeper, and we hardly took a shot at him! Even our “goal” was a pretty shocking error from him, and that got ignored in the fact it got over turned! So where do we go from here? Sunday will be interesting I think, a poor performance (would anyone be surprised if we lost?) and his position is hanging by a thread. Frankfurt must be licking their lips at the prospect of that Thursday game…
Just been told by a mate that in 24 years of ownership by ENIC and management by COYS Daniel, we have won ONCE each in a PL game at Chelsea and Arsenal. ONCE.... ...IN TWENTY-FOUR YEARS... ...AT EACH OF OUR MAIN LONDON RIVALS.
I have described what I saw and what I thought, I see little point in repeating the same thing. I thought we could have been 2 or 3 down in first half, it is not the point I made. We expected to lose and we lost.
I accept losing. I'll accept getting taught a lesson on a rare occasion... ...but I'm not going to accept the **** we're currently serving up. The team is beaten before we go on the pitch. Everyone knows how to beat us...and Southampton have the chance on Sunday to prove that anyone can. The players look lost and need to pack that **** in. Postecoglou needs relieving of his duties. Munn needs to be replaced by someone properly qualified to do that role and COYS Daniel needs to retire. Enough is enough.
So you now say we could’ve been 2 or 3 down in the first half but then said in other posts that you thought we were decent and competitive? Problem is we’re expecting to lose almost every game now.
You have made this point again and again. I am sorry the football is producing so much frustration and anger for you and others on this forum. Football is the most popular sport in the world but not all football supporters share the same perspective, hence forums like this.
Football at the very least should be enjoyable. You’ve often been quite vocal about as such too, hence why you were generally happy to see the back of people like Jose and Conte. What’s changed on your end to make you content with what’s going on?
We could have been 2 or 3 down, we were not because we were competing. We did not expect to win but we hoped we might because that's the nature of football, The best team does not always win. In this case the best team won.
So, when exactly are you going to say the same to the pro-Levy posters? If you want a forum for blind devotion, go and set one up...or apply censorship to my comments and I will leave. Otherwise.... ...live with it.
Potentially being 2-3 down and not testing Robert Sanchez once isn’t competing though, it’s surviving.
He should’ve been sacked weeks or even months back, so right now it’s hard to say where we go. I did half expect a “club statement” this morning but it looks like he’s given an interview already talking about player fitness for the weekend so I doubt he’d be doing that if he were about to be binned. Just do not understand the club at the moment to be honest. We’ve sacked better managers for doing better and for some reason we’re sticking with arguably the worst manager we’ve had in decades. I know a lot of fans didn’t want him sacked out of pure annoyance over our conveyor belt of managers but this is now beyond counter-productive to persist with someone so clearly out of their depth. Antagonising fans along the way too makes it even worse.
