It's a good question. What are the real attendances lately? I would be surprised if it has been over 13K. I imagine the fans have been fairly happy of late, with many good results at the Valley. But is there a real heart-felt backing of Nathan Jones? The kind of support we saw for Lee Bowyer back in 2019? I haven't been there, but I would guess not. I think it's most likely that within a fortnight other results will go against us and 2nd place will not be possible anymore. Fans will stiffen the sinews for play-off semi-Finals. I would expect a big turn-out for the home leg (whoever it turns out to be against). But in the meantime? I suspect 17K is a bit of an ask.
My guess was 15,000 at the last home game but one. 17,000 is a possibility. There has been a complete turnaround from the funereal atmosphere at The Valley earlier in the season.
I’m quietly optimistic that a lot of cafc fans have the taste again. you do hear chat in pubs more often and it’s ok to discuss cafc at work. my guess is 16,669 on Saturday plus a Wrexham fan
