If you combine the points from the bottom 2 they’d still be in the relegation zone From the bottom 3 and they would still be in the bottom half of the league Is this a record approaching?
Just spotted this “When Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United went down in the previous campaign, they had the lowest combined tally (66) of any three relegated teams in a 38-match Premier League season. But this season's bottom three are on course to 'beat' that tally, with Opta projecting a season-end total of 58 points between Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester”
If Burnley and Sheff Utd come back up be interesting how they get on. As someone mentioned us and Leicester came straight back (both having been in the PL for multiple years) and look how **** we both are, let alone a more yo-yo team like Sheff Utd and less established PL side like Burnley. Really wouldn’t be surprised if it is the current top 3 from the Championship if they do worse as a colllective than this years trio
Worst top flight teams ever, you'll never sing that … unless you’re Us, Leicester or Ipswich Bets on any of next years promoted teams surviving? Also, largest gap I can find between 17th & 18th is 11 (Burnley Fulham 20-21) and it’s currently 12 and likely to grow
It'll be interesting to see if any of them follow the Notts Forest model of signing loads of players and not giving a toss about the financial rules.
Loads of tickets available for tonight. Plus the fact I bet many STH's won't bother and could easily be a crowd of 28k ish. Hopefully we'll get our best performance of the season.
Interesting (lol to me) question. We are going to lose 3-1, would the enjoyment of the goal be more if we went 1-0 up or if we scored at 3-0? To me it is pretty even as at 1-0, I know the script. Though I suppose the totally insane part of me would think “maybe, just maybe”. It would soon be shaken out of me though.
Not surprised, I've been getting texts and emails trying to give me a discount code to use for tonight.
Depends when we scored and how long before they equalised. If we scored really early on and they were 2-1 up at half time then I'd prefer the consolation to taking the lead. Scoring early wouldn't get me that excited at all. If we were to score in say the 70th minute and they got 3 in the final ten then I'd vote for the ten minutes of bliss.
The bad news is the traffic from where I live to get to St.Marys is horrific with an accident on the M27 and all the other various routes clogged as a result, so I’m not going to be able to go. No wait. That was the good news.
