Looks a good one Oddy. Virtually a second faster than Henri Matisse, and won comfortably (having won her debut cosily). Just how good is she? Based on that, I'm not sure I would be taking the 2/1 Desert Flower (what a lovely name for a filly) for the Irish 1000Gns. 9/1 Swelter EW looks a better value bet to me
Great shout... the time was a full second quick than Henri Mattisse in the colts version. a second is massive... 20/1 to 8 for the 1000 guineas., The dam was a half sister to Midday (Henry Cecil) and looks certain the mile will be right up her street. Apologies Ron, you looked at the times the same as me..
Swelter did it well and she actually ran over a mile on debut last season so will have no problem with the Guineas trip. I would have liked to see a head-on because the fav seemed to be coming with a threatening run but seemed to jink or swerve slightly? Might have been closer but for that. I think it was a decent race though and Swelter ought to be Guineas-bound.
