I certainly remember him being a class above when he signed. Really made us tick, never seemed under pressure. Very good signing for us.
That team was blessed with a touch of top level experience and quality. Barmby, Windass, Mills and Parlour. Made the difference between staying up and going down in the end. Brown played a blinder getting the latter three in. Only really Pedro in this side that comes close. Then of course we got JJ and Pedersen the following year.
