Just confused about Pep not having a clue how to fix things then, Rodri back in the team fixes things.
What's confusing. Without one player they've fallen to bits. A good coach would've been able to adjust to losing rodri. Pep just cried until the Jan window when he spent more than all prem clubs combined..... Again
Rodri was City's key player and won the Balon Dor as a defensive midfielder, that never happens, which shows how good he was.Their standards were obviously ridiculously high with him (they rarely ever lost when he played) and no player was ever going to be a like-for-like replacement and there was obviously going to be an impact. Like when Shearer got injured with us, one player can have a big affect if it's the main player. Also Liverpool's league record has been ridiculous this season, which distorts things a bit too. An FA Cup win and CL is a decent haul for any team except City basically.
You are missing the point, City have bought all their trophies whilst Liverpool win with home grown players only. Alisson, VVD, Robertson, Macallister, Gravenbirch, Szlobo, Salah, Nunez, Diaz now thats a team that cost them **** all exept training and hard work.
I was blowing Rodri there, not Pep. How was Pep supposed to replace the best defensive midfielder in the world? A similar player from the bench? Anyone close to Rodri's ability would be playing regularly for a CL team.
So you're saying that despite him having the pick of anyone he wants and the funds to back it he didn't have decent replacement for rodri or the coaching ability to maintain success without him. Sound like a genius to you?
Seriously tell me, who is a decent replacement for Rodri? And do you think they could have had such a player sitting on the bench in reserve?
I dont have people claiming on my behalf to be gods gift to football. And why not, city have around 300m worth on the bench most games .
