Good article by Alfie House in the Echo about the criticism of homegrown lads, I agree with him... https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/s...homegrown-players---dibling-criticism-unfair/
Man City's last game at Maine Road comes to mind. City either gave us no tickets or a reduced number (can't remember which) for the last game as they wanted to get as many of their own fans in. The following season at their new ground, City were made to allocate more tickets and to only charge £12. We won 1-3, (true story honest). I remember the price because our fans were singing "12 quid, we only paid 12 quid" to the tune of Blue Moon. City fans didn't appreciate the joke and there was a scrap in the car park afterwards. Happy days.
This popped up on my YouTube feed. Those were the days when we had an outstanding team and great individuals. Bonus is that it doesn’t show the United goals.
"This Club is among the best in the world..." https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/video/introducing-udoh-and-malak
It just depends on how many other teams are included. All you need to do is to expand the 'best in the world' sufficiently widely for Saints to be in the list. Quite a large number of clubs, but not actually a lie. Probably
Unfortunately it would still have been offside as there were no grey areas like interfering with play then and Spike Armstrong was in an offside position as crazy as that seems now.
The photos were taken by a surgeon, and they will eventually be explained as fake images. That won't stop an entire industry being built on the rumours of his existence.
BBC article on Dibling. The rise of Tyler Dibling: Why Southampton's wanted winger is the 'antidote to robotic, structured & predictable football' - BBC Sport
The most ott player advert I think I’ve ever seen and it’s on the BBC front page. Diblings agent must be putting in the hard yards. Kid is talented, but is very raw, feel like he could really do with a season in the Championship to hone himself and a move to a Chelsea (again) at this point could torch his career. Equally if I was a fan of a ‘big’ side I wouldn’t be wanting a chunk of the summer budget spent on someone who was in and out of the starting lineup for possibly the worst side in PL history. I also would like him here next season as I think he’d be an asset for us, but if someone comes in with a silly bid we should probably take it.

Leicester away ticket bought Just one more ticket to buy this season thankfully. Think today was the last DD payment for ST too.
Don't she how that could hinder. Just makes it more certain that Rohl will be leaving and they will be in need of cash. They are clearly ****ed financially. If the ability to just pay wages relies on the chairman's other business revenues then they are screwed. Not that I believe that to be true. "Cashflow issues" is the go to excuse to buy a little time when the money has gone.
Going to skip Leicester. Took the hit and went for Spurs and West Ham (only because I managed to find a pair in the lower bowl out of nowhere, rather than sitting on top of the Gherkin) All eyes on Everton away now for me
I'm doing all of them keeping next season in mind. No new grounds for me this season but there'll be plenty of opportunity for next so going into it at top bracket will be extremely beneficial. I just hope Everton doesn't get moved to the Monday night. I'll still go but it'll make it a much worse occasion imo.
