For once its been a pleasure to have to have been at an AGM so have been away from any tv or radio. But just got back and of couse there's clips on facebook. So is this the first ever open top bus parade that has TWO busses ? Can't make it out on this video, but are all those yellow jackets police or stewards ? If police, I expect Saudis are being made to pick up the bill
Imagine how upset the Mags would be if one of Preston, Palace, Forest or Bournemouth won the big boys cup
can someone explain to me why it has taken so long to 'show the cup off'? been trying to think of an instance when a club has taken so long to do a parade, it usually happens in the same week with the cup getting a showing on the next home match day yet the TV have been beating themselves daft over it (i rarely watch it but can hear it from bro-in-laws room)...nm, at least it offers them some brief joy.
I really don't want to see any coverage of it, so I know it's selfish to ask the question of anyone who has had to suffer it-- but curious as to who were the ''special'' guests. Obviously Shearer , and assume the ''unspecial'' Ant and Dec wormed their way in --- anyone else of note?
Will always take the piss out of them but to be fair there was a fair few there and that's my only compliment
kier Starmer to congratulate them on behalf of government, he apologised for not issuing the congratulations right on final whistle. The King was due to attend, however his ongoing health issues meant he couldn't, sent his congratulations too however. Price William sent his congratulations, however couldn't attend due to going to Villa's semi final in the worlds oldest cup competition today. Prince Andrew offered to fill in, saying he would like to attend & shares the same fetishes as MSD....later saying he was disappointed at the none reply
Fair play to them, it was a great turnout. I travelled on the Metro from near the Airport and the queues at each station were tremendous. I read somewhere 150,000 were at the Town Moor with just as many in the City Centre. Surely with that level of support the owners will have to build a stadium to accomodate them. 120,000 minimum, obviously outside the city centre (hands off Leazes Park). Of course most of their supporters will not be able to get there due to inadequate transport links.
They are getting spoon fed stuff they want to hear. They done as access all areas doc on Amazon purely to show the fans that we can't spend a fortune, not to show them how it all works. Apparently the historical bridge needs 6 million to finish it off, wheres the good will of pocket change to their owners to finish it off? All the talk of a knew stadium that's purely pie in the sky and most fans would be willing to move to despite outrage from the same set of fans when Mike changed the name of their beloved home. Its all bullshit and they're lapping it up. It's just so happens that they have won a cup to gloss over it all.
Thought yesterday would be the end of it, but they have a home game on Wednesday so probably a lap of honour and more Sky adoration
Bruno “We go onto the pitch as players, we leave as legends” and they’re lapping it up! I would honestly cringe if one of our players said that! Utterly embarrassing a player saying that about himself and his team mates as a whole
Thats as bad as '' I went onto Love Island as a wannabee and left as a TV Star and sought after personality''
I hope every SAFC fan looks at this and weighs up the merits of an inner city green space and considers signing this petition. No cost is involved.
I signed, and not just cos it's the Mags. Newcastle to be honest is a beautiful City architecture wise, and Leazes Park is a hidden gem.
Just seen the skysports post on Facebook and fans from all clubs piping them off. Seems sportswashing won. It may mean the Saudis want more it may mean they’ve tel. This project as far as they needed too. Let’s see.
