It’s in the telly now. Haven’t seen the Sunderland lad yet. One from Sussex the other from Yorkshire.

I think the Sunderland lad comes in the second programme EJK, he's a young single bloke.

Didn't reply earlier as I've been away from here for a few day's.

Yeah opinions mate, must admit yours is the first negative one I've heard. I thought it was very well done covering a very real problem kids are facing these days with everything that's available online!

Just couldn't get into it, I suppose I'm getting too long in the tooth.
If schools are truly like that today then no wonder kids are struggling these days.

Both me and Mrs K really enjoyed it. I know it’s come in for criticism for demonising young white boys when that isn’t the main demographic committing these type of acts. But transcend that and see it for what it is which in my opinion is a great piece of tv drama highlighting a societal issue.

I enjoyed it. The 3rd episode was hardcore to watch. Had to put some comedy on afterwards to lighten my mood. I was glad it wasn't a 'who dunnit' and that it just highlighted the social media bigger issue.

I'm not a film or TV geek but also marvelled at the filming of it. One take one camera. Saw a couple of times where they nearly mumbled or fumbled lines but it was very impressive. Bet the yanks follow suit soon.

Also watched last one laughing. Bob mortimer is just my hero. I laughed out loud a few times during the series.

    Here's a totally unpopular opinion.

I thought Adolescence was ok, but not that great.

All it does is reflect what happens in real life that we sweep under the carpet.

Poor teachers being led by poor management harassed by parents who think they know better and send their entitled kids to a system they hold no value in.

What's this about? The total lack of respect parents instill in their kids for anyone. Bullying on any form is ignored as long as their kids are ok.

Some schools will be close to that. In areas there the majority of parents have all buy checked out amd leave their kids to it while they drink or do drugs, parents who teach their kids thar life has no consequences and **** authority and the police and teachers etc... some areas will have this worse than others. The school though wasn't the takeaway for me was the online stuff he was influenced by.

My parents didn't have to worry about me getting all kids of dodgy influence and ideas online as it wasn't there!

P.S interesting you say about being long in the tooth I was going to ask if you had kids of school age so would be worrying about the social media influence on them. I am my kids are both primary school age and I won't let them have phones etc... despite loads kids their age having them.

You are correct mate. They don't need a mobile in primary. Bad enough trying to monitor the tablet at home. Mine are 15, 12 and 6.(kids ages that is <laugh>)

My kids are around 50 but my grandchildren are 22 & coming up 18, the youngest grandson left school last year, the area we live in couldn't be further away from inner city/ large urban if you tried.
There was never any suggestion that it was anything like the school portrayed in that drama.
Spent 30 years of my working life in the police sorting out kids who wouldn't conform to authority, I'm afraid the internet and modern technology is breeding a generation(s) of problems for the future imo.

This is what I liked wasn't ya standard who done it police drama. We saw who didn it early then it was about looking at the impact of it and potential reasons why. All without ever really saying it.

Anyone who watched it (adolescence) did you find the security guy to be a creep?
