Our injury list is a bit daft now like, outfield is better than quite a few teams starting 10

Why do we always have such rotten luck with injuries to defenders? It totally baffles me

    Pre-match flag display

Foundation of Light have teamed up with This is Wearside to create a stunning pre-match flag display. Supporters are encouraged to be in their seats early, raise their flags, and show their backing for the Foundation’s work across the North East.

…. Beacon of Light Fan Zone

The Beacon of Light Fan Zone will be open from 12.30pm, offering family-friendly activities for all ages.

Fans can enjoy free football sessions on the outdoor pitches, plus indoor sports, face painting, arts and crafts, and more. There will also be fundraising activities, prize giveaways, and stalls where supporters can learn more about the Foundation’s initiatives.

    Fundraising & matchday lottery

Supporters can contribute to the Foundation’s work through various fundraising opportunities:

    • Bucket collectors will be stationed around the Stadium of Light and Beacon Fan Zone.
    • The Ha’way and Play Matchday Lottery (£2 per ticket) offers a chance to win £1,000 or a squad-signed ball.
    • Fans can also donate via the Crowdfunder Prize Draws: Click here to enter.
    Lighting up red and white

To mark the occasion, local landmarks will light up in Sunderland’s famous red and white on Friday evening, including Fulwell Mill, Hylton Castle, Keel Square, Northern Spire bridge, Penshaw Monument, and Seaburn Lighthouse.

Join us this Saturday to support Foundation of Light and celebrate the positive impact it continues to make across the region!

Why not, sure he’s been on the bench in the past and obviously in ans around thr first team training. No idea how he’s looked for thr under 21s mind, but in a game where the pressure is slightly off I think we could give one of them a chance. Not like we have many options at the moment anyway :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Wouldn't be against giving Bainbridge a start, would prefer him to Anderson I think for long term reasons. Thought he was outstanding for the u21s last season, tough loan spell at Killie but we've seen with Mayenda that failing to make an impact in Scotland means nothing.

Going for 3-1. With the points in the bag we have maybe a good time to experiment. Might just hit on a winning formula which gives us another option for the play offs.
Looking forward to a 3pm kick off for a change.

Cheers RTB for your standard excellent write up.

I wouldn't be against playing Browne in defence. My reason for wanting to do this is if we are that lacking in defence, then why not attack! I'd go 2 up top, and in possession Browne can move up in to midfield. When we are out of possession, he moves back in to defence. Unless of course we are being overrun in midfield, in which case he can stay there in his natural position till the balance shifts.

Just seen the defensive issues. Would 100% prefer Bainbridge to Anderson.
