Kane is clearly quality, just look at his trophy haul and how his dragged England to various honours... Seriously, if rather have Borini, Balotelli and Lambert back, and that's saying something!!!
It's the usual. Let's relax about those guys as trent just freed about 100 to 150k of wages to secure them for a year more. Any news like this can be considered propaganda from the club to shut up the more angry types until such time as real news comes out. We've seen this so many times out of lfc. Something bad is followed by as much good news fluff as the media team can generate.
Yeah Haaland is ****. Hasn’t even got Norway qualified for a major tournament. Cant understand how anyone can think a guy that’s scored 200 prem goals and is hitting 1 a game in Germany isn’t a good striker
I know I didn't. I labelled him a 'target man', but whether you agree with that description or not, I'm just saying that he isn't our type of player, certainly not since Kenny's second term or even Hodgson's tenure. I see what Bisc is saying though, and it's a bit like trying to put a label on Bobby - the big difference being that as soon as Klopp took over, it seemed that Bobby was always made for Liverpool. He didn't in his first season, in all honesty. I just think we'd be paying Salah-type wages for a guy who'd be on the bench more often than not.
If kane joined and we signed no one else, he'd walk into that number 9 slot. He'd be head and shoulders above jota and nunez
This! Berbatov was a good striker, wouldn't want him remotely close to the Liverpool first team. Same with Haaland. PS... You've got to know it's ****ed up when I'm agreeing with MITO
Better than Jota, yes. Head and shoulders above: I think that's unfair to Jota. If we signed him it would be too late to worry about life-span, but a reason to not sign him would be- he would essentially be replacing the problem we have with Salah- a player with an unknown number of years left in the tank. Jota and Nunez we know we've got 5 years at least in both... Kane he's at an age where you wouldn't want to risk more than a 2 year contract... and then what, would he leave and that £60mill investment be lost with no return and we have to buy another forward all over again. If he came on a free, hurrah, I'd take him, but he really would be a lousy investment given he would require high wage and a high release clause for someone at the tail end of their career.
